Hi

I've been thinking recently about donkbetting. Can it be a profitable move? If so - when and against who? So far after flat-calling a raise preflop oop I've always checked to see what my opponent does if I were heads-up and then folded/called/raised depending on his action and the board texture. But maybe sometimes betting out has bigger ev? Or in the multiway pot?

What are your experiences?

U can donk as a bluff against opponents on the right board texture who play fit or fold on the flop and u can donk ur value hands against passive opponents who check back their draws

As Dickbreakr said it really depends on your opponent.
Donkbets are somewhat hard to balance vs thinking players, but vs opponents who don't pay attention they can be very profitable.

To find out in which spots you should use them you should think about what you want to achieve with a donkbet and how you guess your opponent will react with different parts of his range.
