Had to use up some slightly expired eggs today, before they become seriously expired, so I tried my hands at making a Japanese omelette, also called Tamagoyaki.

The result? Well, the eggs are used up...

:mdr: Sounds like "experimental cooking"

By the way: You can put the eggs into a cup filled with water. If they sink, they are still good. If they swim - throw them away!

Knowing me, I'd probably eat them anyway - even if that means pushing them under water myself.

That tamagoyaki still tasted all right, btw, I just messed up the cooking part. You're supposed to pour a bit into a small pan, roll it up, pour some more into it, roll the rest on top of it, and keep going until everything is used up.

In the end, you're supposed to have a big long tube of eggyness that can be cut up and eaten with chopsticks. In my case, I only had a lumpy mess.

But yeah, the taste was pretty good. I just need to practice quite a bit before I can add this to my menu.

That´s definitely not for me - who is not even capable of turning pancakes without breaking them! :rage::rage:

In the dim dark past I used to make crepes.
I did not have a crepe pan, so I turned a standard cast-iron pan upside down and poured the batter on the bottom.

Worked slick

On topic, I just had some canned ravioli for dinner while grinding, because I got home so late. They weren't very good. And I almost made a misclick during my games because I had to wipe sauce off my mouse.

At least it made me appreciate my own cooked meals.

...and now I almost used one of my lucky cow's playing cards as a coaster. It didn't help that it's sitting right next to the actual coasters.

Did I mention that my so called "grinding station" is actually the kitchen?

traffic was a total mess on hwy 1 through Vancouver today.
Several accidents leading to delays of more than an hour.

I don't care.
I wasn't driving there

Oh no, Harrier!!! I should give you a "dislike" for your canned ravioli! Eeeeeeeeew!!! :spit:

I had asparagus and ham, frozen pinepple for dessert.

I normally eat only local and seasonal stuff (for health, taste and environment) but today, I wanted some other fruit than apples and pears sooo bad!!!!

I had canned ravioli a bunch of times before, it's not usually that disgusting, so I'm not sure what went wrong last night. It's not like there is too much room for screwing up during cooking.

In other news, I had way too much coffee tonight...
