PokerStars - €0.02 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

CO: 77 BB
BTN: 169.5 BB
SB: 123.5 BB
Hero (BB): 339.5 BB
UTG: 104.5 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has A♠ J♣

fold, CO calls 1 BB, BTN raises to 4 BB, SB calls 3.5 BB, Hero calls 3 BB, CO calls 3 BB

Flop: (16 BB, 4 players) 6♦ A♥ 8♦
SB checks, Hero bets 4 BB, CO raises to 27 BB, fold, fold, Hero calls 23 BB

Turn: (70 BB, 2 players) T♠
Hero bets 6 BB, CO raises to 46 BB and is all-in

Hero?

To me it is a clear fold. Note: OTT, I just donate a small bet to test the waters.

Preflop I'd probably squeeze this one out. The reasons are:
- BTN has a 170bb stack. This means he probably is a decent player, so he will be isolating CO limp often in the BTN with a wide range.
- AJo is a standard 3bet BB vs BTN.
- CO gets a great price and he will probably call as he looks fishy. AJo doesn't play particularly well in a 3-way pot completely OOP.

Check/call a regular flop bet. I can't see any other line making sense here.
Donk/calling is probably too optimistic, but I can see fishes overplaying draws here. Nevertheless, it is a high-variance move calling the flop raise, so I'd fold.

My reaction to this turn is: :pcuser:
What is the reasoning behind "a small bet to test the waters" when CO is commited?

Squeeze preflop seems good as said by zetozinho.
On the flop I also like xc, and the turn... no idea what you wanted to test? What information did you get after his rise?

Mandatory squeeze. And if you don't want to squeeze than fold. Call is the worst option with bad hand MW pot and OOP with big stacks. OTF you are betting 1/4 because???? I cannot see a valid reason for that move. OTT is a pure money burn. You just lost your profit for several hundred hands.

Pre flop would certainly bet 3. I think it would reduce the number of players. The flop would raise about half a pot. After ri raise I would push all in. Because I think that probably has A with a weaker kiker.

This happens all the time with Aces and a suspect kicker. I just Check/Call all three streets unless there is a large 25 BB or more bet. I seek pot control and an affordable Show Down. Sometimes with a kicker less than 10, I will fold to a 15 BB bet. To me it is all a question of how much do I want to invest in this hand. Am I missing something with this strategy?

Ok thanks.

By testing waters I means just a CB and hope for a fold from a villain. is it something strange?

You bet 9% to make him fold? You must be joking, that's not serious.
