(FR) JJ - overpair in 3bet pot vs donk turn

Seems well played, but it's always tough to fold an over pair against a donk, but I don't think he would do it with toppair or weaker.

Well played for me too. OTF I like the 3-bet, because you'll know where you are, he will 4-b and you can fold, if you flat you'll have no idea about his hand. OTT I think he will rarely have anything that you beat and you'll face another bet OTR and you don't have clean outs. Good fold.

Against a good opponent the turn fold is exploitable. I'm pretty sure any solver will tell you to call JJ here (all the combos) 100% of the times or close against that size. You should be aware you must defend here pretty wide.
The thing is that villain is probably not a good player.

I think you played the hand really well, I like how you have went bigger OTF with your cb sizing I know the solvers will say that bet sizing doesn't matter OTF but if villain is on a draw make him pay to chase it. OTT when you are donked into i think you are almost always beat from what i see on stars players rarely donk weak and if you are up against a flush you are drawing dead. Well played..

I like to simplify Poker after three betting or calling a three bet. I prefer three bets to be 16 Big Blinds. That creates a SPR of 2.6 if you start the hand with 100 Big Blinds or an even lower SPR if your opponent has fewer chips. Thus, you are intentionally pot committed at the Flop. Post Flop decisions become quite easy if you allow yourself to be pulled into a three bet when you are pot committed. If there is a lot of money on the table, why make the decisions difficult? I would prefer to have at least 32 Big Blinds in the pot at the Flop and would shove with a pair over board cards like the JJ in this hand. With this aggressive play towards 3 Bets, my range is QQ+ or AK. I am looking to win a big pot with a three bet or quickly walk away from the hand.
