Villain was tricky/sticky as hell.

I'd usually cbet here vs regulars and probably vs passive fishes. But this villain was kind of crazy and if he check/raises me, I'd have to fold a hand with good equity IP, so I decided to check behind.

Turn: (14.5 BB, 2 players) A♥
MP+1 checks, Hero bets 10.4 BB, MP+1 raises to 20.8 BB, Hero calls 10.4 BB

Nice turn. When villain mini check/raised me, I thought he could have a T, an A or some stupid draw. So I decided to give him an opportunity of "value betting" his T or try to bluff me OTR.
Should I 3bet here?

But I didn't expect this shove! 4 is mostly a blank, but could this f. villain have a boat? WTF?
Well, because villain had shoved OTR with top pair and a shitty kicker, in a K-high board vs another player, I decided to call here, but I'm expecting to see JT, 44, T4s a bunch :f_eek:

Did I overplay my hand?

Seems alright against a maniac looking player to let him hang himself to call the turn and river. If he has a FH it's to bad this time.

You should cbet small that flop almost always. You should also call a check/raise because he has a wide check/raising range on that board (AQs, KQs, JTs, T9s, Q9s, T8s, 98s).

Turn ok. You shouldn't 3bet though, not even with slowplayed AA or JJ. The reason for that is pretty simple: you didn't bet the flop.

He should indeed overbet the river as played. His range is very polarized: it is either AT, JT, T9, JJ or total air like Q9s, K9s-K8s.
The reason why his range is polarized is because you check the flop and he check/raised a delayed cbet. I expect QQ, Jx, weak Tx to just call OTT when you use this line of betting.
You don't really have Tx (not even TT). The only slowplayed hands would be JJ-AA.
The bottom of calling range OTR would be AK against a good player. If you know he's aggro I'm sure calling with a straigth is fine.

All the assumptions I made were based on the fact that he will limp/call with strong hands and is aware of a balanced strategy. I'm pretty sure you will find players overplaying Ax, Jx.

zeto, that is still out of my reach in terms of strategy/analytical thinking. Is this a solver/GTO thing?
