the question here is what's his limp behind range? this is probably thin against regfish who are weighted towards pocket pairs, but printing against actual fish (sometimes you'll still get stacked by Q8o, but that's just proof that the shove prints)

Probably just playing river as a call. Feels weak but I think all boats are in play here, at least 6 combos of 88 and 44. AA seems like an unlikely holding but this is the micros. His base rate for bluffs is going to be quite low here I imagine. The only missed draws are gutters so what else is he raising river with? Ax? The turn check is weird with a flopped set, but it makes perfect sense to a passive fish, especially on the best turn possible for his flopped set. You will either a) bluff the ace (you fold Ax vs a bet) or b) hit the ace and value bet it.

I'm thinking of worse hands that will call our shove and tbh, I can't see any. Maybe QJ, QT... AK maybe ?

I would just call and hope BB calls too, so we still have a decent pot if we win.

I call the river because I can't think of much that will call you. His betting range and his range beating you is wide, his calling range isn't. I think TurokRider is right.
