I called a raise on BU, flop comes and I hit middle pair with flushdraw. Ace of diamonds is on the board so i am happy about that leaving only Kd that would beat me if flush comes. When UTG leads out into 2 others I think alot of his range has Ax in it so he likely has top pair .My thought process OTF was we have middle pair and a flushdraw we arn't going to raise him because hes likely ahead and and we want to bet for value against worse hands, so I call the 5bb. Turn comes and he bets 1/2 pot again giving me 3:1 I know I need 4:1 for flush draw I also have outs for a Q and/or 8 aswell as another player behind me who may call aswell and give me 4:1. I call because I feel I can get more out of him if board hits for me . River comes and it helps me none , I dont bother trying to bluff him off top pair and I lose $0.40. Reflecting on the hand I think maybe I should have re-raised villain OTF because of his small bet but I also didnt want him to fold anything weaker or even the Ace ( I doubt he would've unless it was a really weak one) since I had good chances at improving my hand I wanted to keep people in the pot . What could I have done better ?

you have a nice draw OTF. On the micros people tend to call down their toppairs/ pairs., so bluffing too much is not much of a option.
Calling is just perfectly fine since if you draw hits you have really good implied odds against an Ace. And you want to keep players in the pot.

Theres just nothing you can do if your draw doesent hit. River is a blank. Any Ace will call you. So the hand is perfectly fine.
Also you have tons of outs, + implied odds. If you consider folding on the turn, try to learn more about implied odds here etc.

"What could I have done better ? " really simple just nothing. The hand is just good played. If your draw hits consider at least betting potsize against an Ace.
Also just getting allin against a fishy player who will call down any Ace is a good strategy.

Most of the time I would fold Q8s at a full ring table after a raise, but post-flop seems standard as played.

I think its a relatively easy fold pre i wouldn't flat this even ip against an ep raise especially in fr.Postflop looks ok to me though you could play it more aggressive and raise the flop or turn.To try and push villain of a hand like AT but at the same time your pair has showdown value and there is no great need to raise this hand with so much equity.

I agree I think Q8s is a little bit too weak to be calling on a 9 handed table even if you do have position postflop,as played I think you played the hand fine, the hand more or less played itself really. I also think especially at the micros you just arnt going to get Ax to fold so calling seems like the best option with the intentions of folding river if it bricks out.
