Hello friends!
I wanted to ask you guys about profitable bluff spots on the microstakes. It is kinda common sense that bluffs tend not to work on micros, especially against recreative players.
However, playing on these stakes I often look for spots where bluffing could be +EV, mostly on small pots where villain has shown weakness, or when villain's range cannot have strong hands (this one mostly against regs)
I'm going to post here 2 hands (sorry about not writing 1 hand per post) and talk about my plan on them. One of them worked, the other didn't, but all in all, I believe that the line I took was OK on both.
Anyway, here is Hand 1:

Villain here is unknown.
In this 3-bet pot, villain checks back the flop, which to me looks like he has total air, so I believe that the 6h OTT is a great card for me to probe-bet, I could represent a king or a flush. He calls the turn ant the 2 OTR really looks like a blank to me so I decide to fire a third barrel. With the line he had took so far I really didn't think that he had anything on his range to call a big bet ![]()
Do you think I went too far on this one? Looking at his whole cards now I'm surprised he called the turn. OTR maybe I could bet bigger on another occasion, but on this specific hand I don't believe he would've folded anyway.
To me, the big mistake here was to do it against an unknown villain.
