Hi! I'm Tarciziu and this will be my last blog, hopefully :f_biggrin:
I'm 24 years old and I will play NL 6 max microstakes and sometimes some micro tournaments.

But first some background. I've played poker since 16, mostly in highschool, microstakes, around 450 K hands and 4000 tournaments in total.

I just deposited 300 $ on Pokerstars and I will play NL10 + some micro tournaments.
Now with the corona virus, I have to work from home (I'm a programmer) so I hope I will have more time to play.

We can talk about anything, but I'm interested in investments (shares and crypto) , reading (business and personal development books) and sports (football, running, boxing, gym etc). So feel free to leave your thoughts below.

Objectives for March - April:
1. 20 K hands at NL 10 with 5 BB / 100
2. Be disciplined (play only in Bankroll, stop playing when tilted etc)
3. Finish reading "Principles" by Ray Dalio and "Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose" by John Maxwell
4. Stay away from candy, keep training, don't lose that much weight :f_biggrin:. I'm 1.84 (6'1) and 85 kg (187 lbs) and I'm triyng real hard to keep this weight and don't get skinny again and lose my muscle mass :f_love:

Started well, but I don't like my stats....
Seems like there are more fishes at NL10 than before. Probably because we can play a maximum of 4 tables...
BR : 321 $

I hope to beat this limit and play 2 tables NL10 and 2 NL16 at 400 $ BR

Happy with the money but a little sad because I lost with straight on turn vs his set, and he got full on river(we were both all in with similar stacks)
He managed to win the tournament.
But I can't complain that much, the starting stack was 5000 but I had 500 at one moment :f_biggrin::f_biggrin::f_biggrin: and managed to get back.

I played also some NL10 today.

BR: 510 $.
I will play some hands at NL16 to see how it is, but I don't plan to stay there too much, because I don't trust my game for that limit at the moment. Many times I don't know what to do after I raise preflop light and the villain 3 bets + I lack fundamentals on blinds.

All in all it was a good day after 10 hours of poker :f_biggrin:

Today's "shot" at NL16 :f_biggrin:

And the graph for today. That red line though :f_love:

To be honest I don't feel that comfortable at NL16, probably because I never played this "high" limits, I have BR because of a tournament not because of my BB / 100 at NL10, the sizing is strange with 0.16 BB and I feel a bit of "scared money".

Probably I will stay at NL 10 to learn the game a bit more and have a few thousands hands under my belt.
BR: 536 $

Nice result for just "taking a shot"

Playing the limits you're comfortable with seems wise...

Cheers,

Hi, I wish you good luck (although luck is not necessary if you are good :f_biggrin:). I am in a similar situation. Started playing poker a few days ago after very long break at the lowest limit of NL2 and I am slowly getting back to it.

So good luck and keep the muscle mass! I am into gym as well so I know how hard it is to keep it :f_biggrin:

I have noticed this as well. NL2 is full of fish like never before, even in 2010 I would say. I guess it is the combination of 4 table max as well as the virus.

Today & yesterday. So many fishes at NL16. I think NL16 is easier to beat than NL5 zoom :f_biggrin::f_biggrin:

@Dandiik
I don't care where are the fishes from, I'm happy they're at the tables :f_biggrin::f_biggrin::f_biggrin: We should make some poker gains this period :f_biggrin::f_biggrin::f_biggrin:. Good luck with your journey also, I will watch your blog.

Hi Tarciziu,

So many fishes at NL16. I think NL16 is easier to beat than NL5 zoom

I found that NL 10 was easier than NL2 when I played Hold'em cash -- I got nailed to the floor at NL 25 though _cry:

Small sample size yet, though -- keep doing it right!

All the best,
VS

Hi, VorpalF2F!
Yeah, for a fish I think it's nicer to play with 0.10 $ BB than with 0.02$. They don't care about Big Stack Strategy and things like that :f_biggrin::f_biggrin::f_biggrin:

And I will not play NL25 till I fix my big leaks in my game. I feel like Nl25/NL 50 it's a completely another ball game.
I'm not in a hurry, I want to learn the game.

Thank you for your words. All the best to you also

Nice start of the month. I have a big gap between VPIP / PFR because I played many drawish hands against the fishes and I had to give up many times post flop (the red line suffered), but when I got the straight / flush, they paid me :f_biggrin::f_biggrin::f_biggrin:

I play everyday NL5 zoom 300 hands because of the 20+ leaderboard promotion at pokerstars.

UPDATE

I had to make a big withdraw so there will be some changes.
But first the summary.
I made a deposit of 300 $ one week ago. Today the BR was 557 $. I made a 357 $ withdraw. So the new BR is 200$

So + 90 $ Cash and +167 $ Tournaments (that 4th place in the Big 1.1$) = 257 $ profit

Because my BR is 200$ now, I will play only NL10.
The objective is to play 50.000 hands with 4BB/100 and have 400$ (25 BI) for NL16.

Some funny hand (yeah, I now, called 67s out of position. I'm still a fish but they are bigger :f_biggrin::f_biggrin::f_biggrin:)

Last 2 days

I'm 15 $ under EV, but what can you do :f_biggrin:

I'm very happy that from the day I started this blog I never had a losing day. But I know it's because the corona virus and there are many fishes at the tables now. If I will go to NL16/25 in this period, I will probably retreat again to NL10 when things go back to normal and we lose a ton of fishes (probably).

I want to play more but it's pretty hard switching between programming job and poker, and also I have a problem. After I see that I'm up 15-20 $, I play scared money and I want to stop playing because I'm afraid that I will lose the profit.

Also, it's there a way to save hands in HM2 for review when I'm playing? I want to post some hands here from time to time because it will become boring if I only post results.

BR 306 $ (I started with 200 $ on April 2 and I wanted 300 $ final of April and 400 $ BR final of may to play NL16. I hope I will play Nl16 this month after all :f_biggrin: )

Yeah I have something similar. For me it happens after a few positive sessions. One naturally just does not want to fall back. It is always unpleasant, not only in poker. But there is no way around it. You have to lose to win. If you lose just take a look into it why you lost in that session(s). If you find out that its because being unlucky you dont have to do anything about it. Just play and have large enough volume and it will pass.

Not sure what you mean. It is the very basic function of any tracker to store your hand history so you can review it later. It doesnt work for you?

Like if I'm playing multiple tables at once and I saw an interesting hand with 78, one with QQ and one with 34, I will probably forget about them after the session and which ones were interesting.

Maybe there is an option to "save hands for review" or something right when I'm playing.

I use Hand2Note which does this automatically. If I know correctly you have to set it up in HM2 yourself. You need to set a folder for storing hand history in your poker client and the same folder in HM2 and then press auto-import before every session. You should be able to find a detailed guide on their website.

There are also poker sites like Party Poker which dont allow this in general.

No, no, I have all the hands stored.
I just said that I dont remember which of the hands played were interesting after the session.
I wanted to know if I have an option to mark some hands right when I'm playing for future review.

I will find a way, otherwise just write the hand in a notepad and find it afterwards in HM2 :f_biggrin:

Ah I see. There definitely is a way to mark hands for review during your sessions. I am not sure how it works with HM2 but I think besides HUD there is a small box on each table which shows last few hands with nicknames and the amount they won in the hands. By clicking on it you should be able to access a list of all the hands played on that table and there should be some option to mark any hand you want for future review.
