Thanks mate, I don't have tracker atm, since I always use trail versions. My laptop went busto and only have HH from the 4th of Feb-2020 till now. I'm happy to give you all my HH tho, so you can have a good look into it!

Thanks but you dont have to give me your HH. I was just curious about your stats. :f_cool: Try Hand2Note though. It is free and provides basic tracker functions. It is not as detailed as HEM or PT, but it has HUD and basic filters so ideal for microstakes players imho.:f_drink:

Yeah I installed that prog after reading your blog, but now all my HH are gone, messed up:f_zZz:

Can't get the HUD working, but haven't invested much time on it either. Well I did run hot running it in the backround :) this week.

There is predefined basic HUD with VPIP/PFR and number of hands. Totally sufficient for micros imo. It should work just by running Hand2Note and PS at the same time. There is no need to setup auto importing or anything like that. But it can take like 10 minutes for the first time before the HUD shows up. Did you have it on during the session? Also look here for some FAQs if it does not show up.

Getting the basics right is my main focus. I'm happy about my game and now I need to work on my consistency, meaning:

Grind for a number of hours (no quitting when winning few buy ins) The goal: two sessions a day, mid day and one in the evening.
Tools: I'm using a stopwatch on my second screen, working both for RNG and the goal to play 1,5h. I start playing classical music for some time, using earphones and haven't had a single tilting session........ yet.

Getting up, pre mental game, feel rested and focussed. I struggle with my motivation to play some time, just run the tables and go from there, but it needs a lot of work. Some simple rules like no phone or computer after 0:00, I'm still a vampire a work in progress.

I just have to sit down and grind, the first week of doing this felt good, but this week I have to step it up! Playing two sessions or more a day and pretty much double what I did last week.

Last week looked like this:

I haven't moved up yet, few hands at 5nl, but getting a very good routine and a more indepth understanding what it means to grind all time is more valuable right now. Or I'm chickenshit but that will be a mountain for the next week.

Putting the hours in, but I notice the longer sessions are still a struggle for me. I tilt:f_biggrin: have some nice pic to prove it. Will be moving up to 5nl. I was playing on the bed tho and did not had my rules in place. Damage done, could have been worse. Still learning :)

Zoom is driving me nuts, I keep running into it, zoom whale for sure!

The picture that says it all:

I have to keep going and I'm still motivated to do so, just being honest with myself :)

Good looking graph at least.
Longer sessions are OK, if you take breaks.

Zoom requires you to be tighter until you're at least 150 bb deep (at least that is my cutoff, other players seem to get away with playing wide all the time)

Rule #1:
Never play with a full bladder!

Rule #2:
Never play tired, hungry, sick, angry or ...

I struggle pretty hard on the 5nl reg tables. I have put some study in 3bet from any postion ranges, as well as my bet sizes and doing my best to bring the redline down. Cause my C-bet on flop 78%, turn 71% and river 61% are way way to high!
I put in the volume but nothing going my way, that happens it only effects my mental state a bit, but no wories I'm well rolled to take a few hits.

On the other hand, while zoom nl2 isn't my thing I'm doing very well on zoom 5nl.

Not sure what way to go, don't have a hud and even if I do, im a total fish knowing how to read the stats in a good way.

Taking a better look at my variance and tilt issues or not playing well. I really want to step up too 5nl and I do take my shots, but figured nl2 is the perfect place to learn and I have 1001 leaks and still try to figure out what works and doesn't.

In april on 2nl my biggest downswing was 12 BI.

Pretty standard and no reason to get worried.

This short month is just starting and I went to bad play, coolers and tilting and my biggest downswing is 22 BI. Way to high obviously.

Most is due longer sessions, I keep an eye on that from now.

I don't worry to much about it, but when moving up I will have to include these swings, so my BRM has to be high and be prepared for it, of course its way better to stay clear those things are not happening and I will be working on it!

My goal this year was and still is to become a 10nl regular grinder. I have to tackle nl5 first. I do well in some other games I play, my bankroll is very nice and even ready to play 10nl. Work will be done!

Started the first session very well, ughhh~

Pretty sweet, most of the time it's 0,20 and sometimes 0,50.

Pokerwise I have to still find a good routine, been donking arround a bit and playing zoom now. Bankroll is very sweet, but still learning and have to put some serious study hours in.

Just my 2cents:

Mate move up to NL5, you can fix leaks there as well. Then move down if you have to.

Just FYI, I play NL10 with 150 USD to take shots, and full time NL10 at 200 USD. NL25 at 500 USD etc.
I move down to NL5 at 100 USD if I have to and feeling bad about something. I am doing that right now as I had my second downer (with some tilt at NL10) of around 8BI and my BR is at 120. The moment it hits 150 I go back up.

If you want to move up in stakes you can be a bit more aggressive with BRM depending on your risk appetite. But being at above 200USD and just thinking about NL 5 without fulling committing is in the long term hurting you. You are already rolled for NL10 as 20BI is usually the time you switch.

When I did my first BR run from Nl 2 - Nl50 I understand how it feels playing new stakes for the first time. The truth is Nl2-10 is similar. You must just push through and play fully committed at a higher stake if you want to move up in limits. If this is not your overall goal that's cool as well, but realistically you can move faster as you seem to be crushing your current limit.

So put on some good music, be at a good space mentality, then open up half the tables you usually would but NL5 to help ease the nerves. Play a few sessions, then go back to normal amounts of tables.

Hey Drager, thank you so much giving me feedback and rethink my goals!
I really need to step up, but I'm butting myself over and over :(

I struggle a bit IRL with my sleep, mostly sleeping at daytime and trying to switch it back to normal is something I'm trying to fix today. I'm okay with my setup and listen to classical music is really doing wonders for me. I would love to grind 4-6h a day and zoom feels like a new home to me. I will work on it to get my potential.

Thanks again for taking the time!

No problem.

Poker is a lot of mental stuff as well. Try to get your sleep in order then just play Nl5 full time for a bit, then move to NL10 once you are comfortable as you are almost rolled for NL25 already.

4-6 hour grinds are taxing as well. You do not have to grind that much at the start, if your goal is to move up in stakes just do that first and lower volume. You still will win more total cash at higher stakes and lower volumes potentially.
Just thinking it might be as well that you tell yourself "I have to grind 4-6 hours at this new stake" which is a big move actually. Go easier on yourself, transitions work best gradually.

Fun hand, hate my 3bet with this hand and should be a 100% fold at anytime. His mistake is checking the flop and then betting the turn in my mind I was like his range is soooo AK, he shoves the river and I snap call :P

Zoom 5nl is going on the right track, can't be lucky all the time. Sooner or later the downswing will hit me, but for now I'm enjoying it!

I really feel I have to take a few days of and study a bit.....

Horrible day at the office, lost a big chunk of my Bankroll, nothing worked today, just kept running into it. Bit tilted to be fair. Wanted to gamble a bit more and started the plo tables, far away from recovery but it's something and I really enjoyed playing it. Holdem can be such a drag sometimes.

Omaha wouldn't be my go to game if i was feeling tilted but it can be good to have a change if your feeling it drag like you say.I would just take a day or two off though from playing or maybe play a few small buy in tournaments even free rolls where you can relax more and blow off some steam maybe.

Thanks mate, I switched my day night routine and go to bed around 10 then waking up at 06:00, not liking it too much. I have this frustrated feeling in my body combined with a mild headache. I always seem to have that when I had a marathon tilt session that lasted for 16h +.

This week I will buy a lazy chair and I'm thinking of cashing out a bit to get me a nice 27inch monitor. It will take time to recover my bankroll, but been there before and maybe I make it sound worse then it really is.

I'll take the break today and giving this week plo a shot and when I hit that 20bi loss in a day I go back to NL :P
