It's been a while since my last posts and I did run bad at a time and it was a rough week.
I did try some NL50 and I did make some bad moves and then continued to run bad. However I still managed to make a profit after some days. Total winnings since last post is about +$370.
My Bankroll is a new personal record for me now at 2063$

This is my latest graph since the 17th of november.

I will still try to play some NL50 from time to time and just get used to it. The biggest pot I had was yesterday when I won 70$ in one pot vs a fish who tried with a river bluff. I'll post the hand below.

PokerStars - $0.50 NL - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: 130.88 BB
BB: 130.58 BB
UTG: 245.84 BB
UTG+1: 58.12 BB
MP: 100 BB
Hero (MP+1): 137.04 BB
MP+2: 175.74 BB
CO: 36.26 BB
BTN: 100 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has J♣ Q♣

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 3 BB, MP+2 calls 3 BB, fold, BTN calls 3 BB, fold, fold

Flop: (10.5 BB, 3 players) 3♣ 5♦ Q♠
Hero bets 5.98 BB, MP+2 calls 5.98 BB, BTN calls 5.98 BB

Turn: (28.44 BB, 3 players) T♣
Hero bets 16.22 BB, MP+2 calls 16.22 BB, fold

River: (60.88 BB, 2 players) 7♦
Hero checks, MP+2 bets 150.54 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 111.84 BB and is all-in

MP+2 shows A♣ 5♣ (One Pair, Fives)
(Pre 58%, Flop 25%, Turn 27%)
Hero shows J♣ Q♣ (One Pair, Queens)
(Pre 42%, Flop 75%, Turn 73%)
Hero wins 280.56 BB

Here is my NL50 graph. I'm still up but I need to review some hands and see where I can improve my game.

So the journey continues and hopefully I'll be able to crush NL50 soon

A new week has gone and well it didn't start well, I lost 4 BIs at NL50 when taking shots, so about 200$. KK into QQ, river Q and such funny things.
I moved down to NL16 and NL25 and it was a rough grind things still not went my way and I made some bad decisions too, working to improve in some spots.

Was running below EV for about 8000 hands as you can see in the graph below.

Today I managed to SAT into the 109$ Sunday cooldown prog ko, but since I entered late because of that sat I only had 15BBs, and lost an all in AJ vs A4, river 4. But it was a nice experience anyway.

Except for that I played a homegame where I finished 4th out of 37 players and acutally took down this months leaderboard.

After all this I can now conclude that I made about 115$ in profit since the last post.
BR hasn't growed that much but is now at 2178$. The grind continues and I'll move up to NL50 at 2500$.

Looking back this month I've made nearly 1200$ in profit this month playing cash game. This is my best poker month ever!

Anyway new week tomorrow and soon new month, the grind continues!

Very nice :f_thumbsup:

I have to ask, is FR still all about the set mining and only playing AA/KK?

No no, in general you raise about 10% utg, 15% - 20% from MP, and 40 -50% from late position. So definately more then set mining and AA and KK :)

Hi guys,

It's time for a new update. This week has been quite good, I decided to take more shots on NL50 but also mixing in some NL25 tables. I did make some stupid calls and moves on NL50 which I need to improve on, such as not being able to fold AA set when the board it AKJQ, and then facing a river reshove all in, which means I need to learn to fold in those spots. This is the hand I played wrong on the river and couldn't find the fold button.
PokerStars - $0.50 NL - Holdem - 7 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

MP: 100 BB
Hero (CO): 103.96 BB
BTN: 193.36 BB
SB: 99 BB
BB: 126.18 BB
UTG: 138.22 BB
UTG+1: 81.56 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has A♦ A♣

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 3 BB, fold, SB calls 2.5 BB, fold

Flop: (7 BB, 2 players) K♠ A♠ J♥
SB checks, Hero bets 3.98 BB, SB calls 3.98 BB

Turn: (14.96 BB, 2 players) Q♥
SB checks, Hero bets 8.54 BB, SB calls 8.54 BB

River: (32.04 BB, 2 players) 6♥
SB checks, Hero bets 22.84 BB, SB raises to 83.48 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 60.64 BB

SB shows 3♦ T♦ (Straight, Ace High)
(Pre 16%, Flop 13%, Turn 74%)
Hero shows A♦ A♣ (Three of a Kind, Aces)
(Pre 84%, Flop 87%, Turn 26%)
SB wins 195 BB

Anyway I've played a few thousands hands and here is the graph since the last update:

Yesterday I also played and tried ti qualify for the Sunday million 215$ when 2 tickets paid and 3rd would get 41$. All went good until there was 4 players left, then Stars froze and I was chiplead. It turned out that pokerstars servers had shutdown and it took 3 hours before they solved it.
They cancelled the tournament and I found out that no one had the ticket but I received 151$ in cash, which still was nice.

Since the last post on the 30th of November, I've made a profit of +572$
My BR is now 2750$

The grind continues and I will play more NL50 games.

I hope you noted that your opponent called the flop with an only a gutshot.
I would question whether leading the turn and river is wise -- so many two-pair hands on boards like these.

Well I didnt notice that until after but yes. More interesting is who calls with T3o these days. I agree somewhat on the turn but I still think continue to cbet is the best here, if he reraises then I might call depending on the size hoping to hit a fullhouse.
On the river however I made a baf play and shluld have just checked it no reason for me to lead there and especially call the show.

I wanted to show with this hand that sometimes I make these bad plays and its one of the spots where I need to improve.

In grneral, when a player reraises the river, is ut always a fold unless you have the nuts?

If what opponent represents is plausible, then fold for sure.
If not, you can bluff-catch -- but you need to be careful.
Some players will overbet the pot with busted draws for example, and some will do it with sets.

The call with AA vs X/R on 4 straight board is too loose. Even on NL500 - NL1k, i dont expect people to have a bluffing range often enough here. Also if you want to get value of top set on this board, you should downsize to 1/3 pot starting from the turn.

How many hours do you typically play in a day?

That's a good question, I looked on my stats and last month the average was about 6 hours per day, so yes I play about 6 hours per day.

Went thread through quickly and this one caught my eye. Villain is whale and we dont 3bet AA preflop? Only reason I could think of is if there is really 3bet happy people behind trying to isolate open raiser. Should be as default 3bet 100% of time imo.

Yes I totally agree, in this situation there was a guy who was 3betting very wide after me with over 20% 3bet preflop, however he folded this hand, so my plan was to bet big but didn't work out as I wanted to.
