Rush 77 set on draw heavy board

How about if there is only 1 draw like a flush or straight, but not combo draw. Can we c/c flop or do we still have to raise it?

How about donk betting the flop on draw heavy boards to induce raises. Would this be better?

I feel like I am not getting the right value for my sets but I also do not want to be self owning by letting a villain get to his draw.

This is the big dilemma.
You cannot -- even must not -- give a draw a free card.
I say this a lot, "The best hand in poker is no good unless someone else in the hand has something slightly worse"
If nobody has a hand that can call on this board, you'll get nothing.
If they do, you'll make money.

Slowplaying sets is OK on very dry boards.

Yeah think so as well. Just sometimes frustrating.
I usually tell myself that it's better to win small pots than to lose big ones.

I always prefer to raise with sets on connecting boards. Yeah it sucks when they just fold but it's better to win a smaller pot than giving free cards ( as Vorpal said ) and then losing the pot because of it.
