Hey,

So Sunday Storm wasn't really lucky for me. First I lost 2nd flush to nut flush vs an aggro fish and was left with approx 30bb. Then 10bb short stacked to my AQ in blind war and his 67 were better. After those 2 spots I was fighting to build my stack up keeping in mind that I can let myself do 1 more rebuy so no hard feelings.

Shortly after rebuy period ended (like 4 mins) this hand took place

Poker Stars, $4.90 Buy-in (600/1,200 blinds, 150 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 9 Players

MP3: 15,420 (12.9 bb)

BTN: 7,075 (5.9 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A 9

Flop: (24,766) 3 9 2 (2 players, 1 is all-in)
Turn: (24,766) 2 (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: (24,766) 2 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Results: 24,766 pot
Final Board: 3 9 2 2 2

fold,

That is weird -- did he time out?
In PokerStars it doesn't automatically give you the option to open-fold.
If you want to do that, you need to set up a hot key.
When playing 5-Card Draw I occasionally want to fold post-draw w/o anyone seeing my cards, so I have such a hot key.

Cheers,
VS

He must have closed the table because he left immediately.

THIS IS THE BEST! LOL :f_thumbsup::f_thumbsup::f_thumbsup:

I would love it if they just min-bet each other all-in here - purely for the entertainment value... "entertainment equity" if you will. Things like this make me laugh out loud.

Or min-bet each other to about 50BB and one of them folds.

Come to think of it, if I ever saw that I would suspect chip dumping

Yeah, it reminds me of good old fixed-limit times. Unfortunately you could not raise this many times :f_ugly:

I was playing a fixed-limit tournament (2-7 single draw) on a non-affiliated room, and HU on the FT, the cap was removed.
You could raise more than the usual cap at 3 raises.

I don't know if this is true of other rooms, because I'm so rarely HU in tournaments.
The last time I was was in 2018, and I don't remember if that was the case -- and if it was would I have even noticed.

Hi,

After a break from poker I decided to give it a go for a recreational spin & go play. I also joined the Get Rich or Die challenge, so I'll either be rich soon, or dead.

GL at the tables

Oh I miss FLHE! But really there is no reasonable traffic available anymore :(

When coming back I was considering learning PLO as well. However I chose spins because I used to like sit & go's and this format is quite similar, just faster and more swings

Since I came back I was mainly working off the tables, configuring P*, PT4, flopzilla, creating some basic charts, learning them, creating some simple post flop strategy - just so I have a skeleton strategy to start with. Free materials from this site and from Smart Spin helped me.
I played only approx 9 games to test out the software, so no big history there yet. After couple thousand games if I get hooked I might consider applying to smart spin, seems to be a reasonable place for me. But we will see.

Week 1 report

Thanks for your welcome's and see you! :milord:
