Hmm i still dont understand how it works, firstly how come FR was different prior to the change? Secondly, how does everyone now have the same rakeback because firstly, wouldnt the amount of time/tables played be a factor and secondly Stars dont give rakeback apart from the cash bonuses from cashier.

you answered yourself, the bonus are the rakeback on stars. so the more fpps the more bonus you get of course time/tables matter

What he meant is, it now becomes how dependent on how much you "contribute" to the pot, based on how many people there is.

Lets use how it was before, on small limits for no limit, you had to get $0.40 rake, (an $8 pot) on both FR and SH for everyone at the table to earn a vpp.

Since you are sharing the rake that is made at the table, at a 6 person table each person has "paid/contributed" $0.066667. But at an FR table, each person has "paid/contributed" $0.04444.

So before Shorthanded players were getting 1vpp/$0.066667 of rake whereas the FR players were getting 1vpp/$0.04444 effectively giving the FR players better rakeback than the SH players.

Now with the change (next year for FR) the x number of vpps will be awarded to a pot, and they will be split up between the players at the table.

No I get it now, because in FR there is mroe players at the table hence they have to share a smaller amount of vpps. So how is it going to work for FR next year?

They will take on this system I assume. For now they won't because of the supernova elite chasers for this year, it would set them way behind schedule. And right now for SH and HU you can choose, (new vpp tables or old vpp)
