Sorry Nutz, I have to admit I don't follow my blog now that I dropped out of the bankroll challenge I'm sure I'll find motivation to update this blog and follow blog-area more actively sometime in the future again, right now I'm more participating in hand-reviewing section of forum.

And I live in capital area, like most of us Finns, be it better or worse

So I've won 273$ since last update 2 months ago. 32,5k hands, but I mostly played Zoom and ran insanely good and over EV there, not really happy about my play. Couple of big losing sessions (even bigger losses in EV, so ran good in those too :f_love:), I feel I tilt bit too easily and end up playing bad.

Anyways I got summer job so really haven't had time or energy to play in June, also you got to enjoy summer in Finland, don't you think Only 1,5k hands so far this month, Juhannus (no idea what's that in English) coming up next weekend, I guess no GoldStar in Stars this month..

Decided to cash out my Stars bankroll since Stars’ vision is to turn their poker games into house casino games. Last straw was on July when they decided to decimate their rakeback% into ridiculous under 5% or so. I’m not going to pay that much for their superior software.

Started on a new site (national poker provider in Finland), deposited 200€ starting bankroll and started playing. RB is even worse than on Stars being 0%, but rake is considerably cheaper at 3% and capped max 1€ per hand at PLO20 and getting cheaper on higher limits.

No matter if the games on Stars have gotten softer since July's reg-killing changes, games on this new site are way softer than on Stars ever was or ever will be. There is a lot limping preflop, shortstack fish playing every hand, and then there are very aggressive (well, what do you expect from Finnish PLO players...) guys gambling it up and stacks flying

Decided to revive this blog to keep track of my progress. Could’ve joined Get Rich or Die Trying which is nice concept, but I dont have the energy to update every week, I thought rather every month or so even would be nice (last post over 2y ago :f_confused:). Also I play quite little nowdays and maybe even mostly on mobile while commuting so there is no exact hand counts, session results etc. from these.

Also yesterday joined PLO-lab, 100$ on discount. I've been trough preflop stuff, and it is well worth it for sure. Nothing earth shattering new, but couple of nice tips and thoughts to guide my thinking-process into right way. Next is postflop stuff, I think this free youtube stuff was also quite interesting:

Nut-straight, top set + open ended straightflushdraw, how many NLHE hands do you have to play to flop those things. Then I started to think what hands have best equity against this monster, and of course came up hands that have it actually beat already otf and crushed with ~60% equity this "blank" turn. Hands like K♥: Q♣: J♣: 8♥: and similar ds-hands, same straight but those redraws are just way stronger by the turn than this top set + OESFD. Sick game of pot limit omaha

Some shots to PLO100, risky business but there have been some terrific opponents playing

Keeping the red line up has proved to be difficult. Either the opponents are calling too much to bluff against frequently, or they are very aggressive and pushing me out of the hands. It has become more about keeping up the green and yellow line

Biggest lost and won pots (bb-wise)

Played against two whales, other 82/23 and squeezer 52/26. Fairly tight 3-bet range though (yeah, guess this hand somehow is included there :f_ugly:), so calling only preflop and keeping the other whale in the pot. That was the only real decision here, hand plays itself from there flipping 200bb against random-2-pairs.

Not quite, that's all the stakes through BR 200€ -> 5000€, big portion of the games in PLO20 before building up enough BR for PLO50.

Check out this example from yesterday, notice how the dude on the upper left corner bluff-called on the flop all-in 100bb more like a boss, he doesn't care

I have no idea what the rake on Unibet is, also something weird happened to the loyalty program and I have absolutely no idea what's going on there... I dont think I can see how many hands I've played or any stats of winning/losing, so only way to keep track of progress is BR. Let's see how it goes.

There is tracker that says 5778 hands played. Maybe it works only on desktop, maybe it's hands since the "game lab" went online, IDK. That will be the starting point if it works..

Break-even grinding. Some shots to higher stakes. In Unibet there isn't always that many games going on, so been searching for action where it is. Obviously variance heavy stuff, *note to self* should probably avoid.

There seems to be huge intervals in the loyalty program steps. I will reach the next step soon at 220k BP but the one after that seems quite utopian, 390k BP? So that would require raking 1700€ before October 1st.

In this one SB was light-calling fellow. Went for cbet hoping for folds or SB calling. Well fishy SB just folded and got call from CO in position.

Lot of raking to do indeed for that. Though it's not huge increment to what you have already done if you are around 220k.

In first hand flop check would probably be best default line. I think CO will call like Q9+, wraps and pair+oesd type range on flop. I think for CO it's fine spot to not have almost any raise range on this rainbow flop because of UTG AAxx advantage?

So because of that there is decent chance of facing shove on turn from AQ or sets so I would probably x-c turn and evaluate river. As played we probably have to call if we assume villain would shove some wrap+fd type hands as well at least tiny portion of time. But perhaps potting for protection and value is fine.

Second one looks indeed quite light squeeze as hand is not that connected nor it has A. Flop is obviously "good enough" as it's one of best possible ones with overpair, fd and nut gutshot so easy pot.

In general when opponent just call flop I think he rarely has two pair or set. So I would not be scared about board pairing that much in sense that villain would improve. Especially with turn being 2. So looks more like some drawing hand. If villain has flush I doubt it matters if we check or bet. Would he bluff with straight draw or check and call if he improves? Possibly folding to turn shove being potentially dead.

PS: Checking spoiler this fellow is very very good customer... I would have folded every street to heroes aggression

I think it's quite huge leap here, as the it requires almost doubling the BPs raked so far to reach next step. But there would be some gold in the end of that rainbow, 500€ playthrough bonus... Hopefully I can reach that, but I wont try forcefully if hitting downswing or running out of time, playing poorly can cost more than the reward.

Thanks for the input for the handhistories. First one I agree, it would be quite unfortunate to be forced to bet-fold so standard should be start by checking. Same time I feel betting is the way to go when there is a fun player in the hand. Turn is again a difficult spot, could be a check but on the other hand not blocking broadway draws, could've best hand against AK/AJ. If checking should I call the bet facing many difficult rivers or check-jam.

Often I end up in some conclusion when reviewing hands. Something was good, something was inavoidable, somewhere I just punted a stack horribly. This one was IDK what to heck to do But yeah only 100bb so I guess it doesnt matter that much, cant make that big of a mistake when there is some guaranteed equity here.

This week started with a downswing, went down 1k or so and it took rest of the week get the result back in the black.

Then took a shot in PL4 Saturday night as there was a big time gambler who opened and 3-bet every hand preflop. You know how this usually goes in omaha: soon the guy is sitting with 1000bb stacks and just crushing the tables with random hands and hero has to yield and start fixing damages.

Not this time though, I had absolute sunrun. Played tight range obviously so hands went many times I open, he 3-bets any 4 cards, I 4-ball it and get it in low SPR flops. And somehow my hands hold pretty much every flip, some even multiway. Like this one, where I'm the small stack when pretty much everyone else has 400-500bb stacks at this point ♠_p:

Yeah, that's a lot of action right there. BTN shoving unfortunately does not re-open the action, but I dont think it really matters as the SPR will be super-shallow and flop gotta be pretty horrendous that I fold the rest 100bb.

Fishy UTG limped, shot-stacked BTN iso-raised and also short-stacked SB cold-called here. I woke up with this monster - premium pair, nicely connected cards with four backdoor-flushes -potential. So went for a min-squeeze as standard is, hoping to lure more people into the pot, maybe someone could even re-pot it.

As expected flopped the nuts with set, like you often do with such premiums, and went for a pot in case someone has weak ace or flush draw or something. Unfortunately got action only from SB who had less than half pot left.

Seriously with your last hand that you discussed, we should have turned that into a strategy article.
One question though, Villain would never flat a NFD/any FD here?
