AKJ9ds 3betpott vs regular

I would either check flop or bet half pot. Getting raised is ugly as we have bd fd and some good top two pair outs but if we get raised we have to fold. Especially if we pot and get raised. In general I would not use pot size cbet anyway as SPR is so high this 3bet pot works more as single raised pot.

On turn I would bet half pot for thin value and protection as we don't mind to either get value from his draws or get those to fold. Hands like T98, fd or combo of those have lot of equity versus our hand.

On river I would likely just check as we beat some Kx, Ax and straight draws. Of we want to bluff and rep full houses I like pot sized bet. No

I agree with ghaleon. Another reason not to bluff the river is the players on those stakes. A lot of them won't fold a flush as relative handstrenghts are somewhat new and tricky for them (as well as judging how often you have AA). Saying that it is better you pull out that bluff against a "regular" than against a recreational but it still isn't good

I agree with you that most people won't fold a flush. My thought was that a regular will fold this often.
I was a little bit surprised that he called with a J high flush. He had something like JJ65.
I learned now that I never should bluff this regular. And I think his coldcalling preflop with JJxx ds is bad too.

This is true but keep in mind that it is PLO5. There are no good regulars

You pot the flop, which indicates strength. On the river you rep dry AA, which doesn't make sense on the flop most of the times. As you can't have AA+nfd on the flop.

And it's PLO5, if you try to make people fold straights/flushes on paired board, you will learn it soon that it doesn't work.
