PokerStars - $0.05 PL Hi FAST (6 max) - Omaha Hi - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 205.6 BB
SB: 292 BB
BB: 50.6 BB
UTG: 95.2 BB
MP: 179.4 BB
Hero (CO): 164.4 BB

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has 6♦ A♠ 3♦ 5♠

fold, MP raises to 3.4 BB, Hero calls 3.4 BB, BTN raises to 15 BB, fold, BB calls 14 BB, MP calls 11.6 BB, Hero calls 11.6 BB

I do think that the hand is good enough to play multiway. With Axxx suit I do have nuttiness and also a low connection.

Flop: (60.4 BB, 4 players) 6♣ 3♣ 5♥
BB checks, MP bets 28.8 BB, Hero raises to 144.4 BB, fold, fold, MP raises to 164.4 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 5 BB and is all-in

I think villain would pot it if he had the straight. I am blocking sets and also unblocking fd. I do have to push this hand, don't I?

Turn: (359.2 BB, 2 players) 6♠

River: (359.2 BB, 2 players) 2♥

It is a rather brutal flop for your hand -- no flush draws and only BD straight draws, but lots of FH outs, and even your two-pair values can hold up against someone playing naked Aces etc.

I really want to read what the experts say though, because this sort of hand happens a lot.

Fold preflop to open raise all day long. These type of hands look nice but in reality they are pretty crappy. Think about it this way. How many flops you are happy to play? Two pairs will often be some AT6 type flop or 56T. Ds give value but then again low fd especially in multiway pot will only be nice support. You can't give much value for it in itself because of risk of higher fd. Straights or straight draws are often not nutted which is also nasty.

As we end up squeezed and getting absurd pot odds we have to probably take the flop. Flop is overall very good for us concidering low SPR. When MP bets 4way he likely has at least overpair+fd but board is low enough that straights are unlikely. Our cards also does work as blockers to rundowns that could have straight. So we have to go all-in but original preflop call is something I would not recommend.

But a call preflop IP isn´t that bad especially with his bigger stack. Your hand is connected and has potential for the nuts. Against the squeeze you should fold, you need it A without gap.
Well, on this flop is there anything to be said against a simple call?

Ok checked plotrainer and seems like its reasonable preflop call. Would prefer to have it bit more higher and connected cards like A765 personally. Versus squeeze it was mixed between all options but mostly fold.

Anyway for flop I dont like call that much because our hand doesnt have playability on different run outs but its strong enough to stack off on flop. Basically any non pairing turn will weaken our hand strength. If we had nut fd we could actually call as trap and with bd fd call would also be option. Though personally I would shove with bd fd also. Only good thing with this combo as call is to see if turn is not completing flush but issue is that also turns like 4, 7, 8 and 9 are awkward.

Which solver do you use? Is there something like gto+ with lifetime license for plo?

Yes i do work with the plotrainer aswell. So more higher connected cards like A765ds is a 3-bet and cc w. suited ace or alternative 3- bet ss A+(near) broadway.

had in my mind that he only gets calls from hands which blocks cards he don´t want to see on turn like any club, probably 7´s and 8´s. but there still seem to be too many outs that he has to protect

Yeah issue in reality with 3betting hands like A765ds is that fold equity tend to be way smaller than what is assumed and I think these type of hands potentially come more of call because of that.

Well I have not checked available tools that much. There is Monkeysolver which I think is one time payment but price tag is likely lot higher than gto+. I bought plo mastermind and plotrainer web app for 1 month which was around 150$.

This hits the nail on the head. When your opponent underfolds to your pf 3bets you actually need to exploitatively tighten your 3betting range quite a bit, especially in a high rake game.

To make things clear, there is only one solver for preflop PLO. All the preflop tools are just a way to view Monker simulations, so they all use the same solver.

When you don't have FE for 3betting, this is an exact hand type you drop from your 3bet range. Axxx with lower x's.

Once you get to the flop, 3pairs in 3bet pot is just too good to fold.
