PokerStars, Hold'em No Limit - $0.02/$0.05 - 6 players
Hand delivered by Upswing Poker

UTG: $5.00 (100 bb)
MP (Hero): $8.49 (170 bb)
CO: $7.04 (141 bb)
BU: $6.58 (132 bb)
SB: $4.70 (94 bb)
BB: $8.48 (170 bb)

Pre-Flop: ($0.07) Hero is MP with A J
1 fold, Hero raises to $0.15, CO calls $0.15, BTN calls $0.15, 2 players fold

Flop: ($0.52) A 3 2 (3 players)
Hero bets $0.38, CO calls $0.38, BTN calls $0.38

Turn: ($1.66) Q (3 players)
Hero bets $0.76, CO folds, BTN calls $0.76

River: ($3.18) 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $2.01, Hero calls $2.01

I opened from the middle position and got two calls. Flop was draw heavy I think it's a good flop for cbet with my hand. But I would cbet my whole range rather small percentage. The turn was not my favorite but I thought I still can continue betting. I didn't like the river nor to bet the river. I thought I didn't get to villain good odds to call with a flush draw so I decided to rather check/call. What are your thoughts?

Think you can go smaller on the flop and id likely check/call the turn but as played i think river is a check fold i just don't see what worse hands bet once they call flop and turn and the flush hits the river do they turn worse Ax in to a bluff ?.

I'd check flop, we want 2 streets max with this hand and have the backdoor heart covered.

As played I would fold the river we have a bluff catcher and all draws get there.

this spot seems player dependant when we bet flop and get called the Q seems like a blank besides for hands like AQ which they should be 3-betting pre-flop partially so on the turn I think they either have a weaker Ace, FD or some weaker PP, the weaker PP I think will surely fold to another bet, FD's probably calling because of the odds you gave them I can see some players calling turn with a weaker pair of aces again.

River: I think its player dependant, some players might only have flushes or maybe some slow-played two pair/set here while others may have a bunch of marginal aces that will call another bet, against the players who I think have a ton of weaker Ax in their range I may make a thin value bet on the river and fold to a raise. like 1$ and fold to a raise because I think its under-bluffed. If he shoves river we would be getting like 3:1 but I dont think they are jamming a weaker hand ever , could be exploitated like this but I think river is underbluffed at low stakes from my experience of clicking the call button enough times, Lol.

Your posting some good spots, I like these ones to learn the game myself. Please post more in the future, thanks for sharing.

yeah but my thinking about the hand

i think you can bet/check the flop both give you information where you at, after if all check you can bet the turn and if you bet flop like you did u hoping checks. i think nothing badder will call you on the turn maybe AT and he never bluffs that.
one change its the wild west guy who bluffs any 4x/5x and if you dont know that are changes stantard nitty nl5 guy or wild west guy :f_cool::f_biggrin::f_cool:

A5 is good bluff if he is good but he have to know u folding that AJ cause heart hits and u almost beat nothing anymore A4/A5 "only" missed draws

Is it? I would say rather opposite. I see players play tighter on zoom than on slow tables.

Turn is not bad at all. AQ was already ahead and is now bit less likely holding. River though is very bad and we have easy x-f. This is likely one of our weakest holdings arriving on river. One flush blocker might make it better call candidate theory wise than some stronger holdings but villain has to be fairly creative to show up with bluffs here.
