PokerStars, Hold'em No Limit - $0.02/$0.05 - 6 players
Hand delivered by Upswing Poker

UTG: $5.15 (103 bb)
MP: $3.34 (67 bb)
CO: $5.03 (101 bb)
BU: $5.13 (103 bb)
SB (Hero): $5.77 (115 bb)
BB: $10.40 (208 bb)

Pre-Flop: ($0.07) Hero is SB with 2 K
4 players fold, Hero raises to $0.10, BB calls $0.05

Flop: ($0.20) Q 2 Q (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $0.10, Hero calls $0.10

Turn: ($0.40) K (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $0.29, Hero raises to $0.58, BB calls $0.29

River: ($1.56) 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, BB checks

I think this is a pretty marginal spot and not much interesting hand. But I would like to know your thoughts.
I mix open sizings from SB. I think the suited king is suitable for small open.
Flop is hitting both of our ranges pretty same I think. I prefer x/call. Turn improves my two pairs and I decided to raise for value.
River brings flush so I don't want to put more money into pot and I would fold the river bet.

I would or limp or make it 3x from the SB. Now villain will defend with his/her entire range.

Flop play seems allright, but on the turn I would call as well. It's tough to get value on this board 2 pair no kicker and it's tough to get a better hand to fold. Especially with a min raise.

Cheers,

K2s open from sb too loose imo. Raise size should be 3x minimum.

Agree, with the others on Preflop sizing. I would go as far as to say at Micros you should not even be bothering with a SB limp range. (High rake makes it unfavourable)
Play 3x open or Fold

Opening K2s is ok. Seems to be within a 40% open range which is pretty standard.

Turn: I would just call too for the reasons SDK1987 mentioned. I am pretty happy to play XC-XC on turn and river with pretty much any runout

I wouldn't open this or limp this unless I have history with villain or I know villain to be massive fish and will pay me off if I hit any pair (or we both 200bb deep). I beat 2nl, 5nl, 10nl by playing ABC, I know this strategy is exploitable but not at this level. On the flip side, getting into spots like this isn't bad, especially if it goes to showdown and other regs get to see how loose you opening and you can use that to your advantage later on. IMHO.

Flop is hitting both of our ranges pretty same I think.

He call your raise with K♦: 2♦: :profit:
