Hello i want to know if there is another solution then i had for my problem

I couldn't login to software of pokerstars on my main pc it says wrong password or username when i used the correct details but when i used same details on my browser i could login also when using a second pc this has worked !

But i solved it by creating a new windows administrator profile to my main pc when i logged into that profile it worked !
But i'm wondering if there is something i could do with my main profile so i dont have to switch profiles anymore when i want to play poker !

someone has solution for me?

Hi mad14,
Welcome to PokerStrategy.com :welcome:

It sounds like you might have a corrupt profile.

Not knowing the source of the corruption, I would first of all suggest that you create a full backup of your computer.

If the problem is with a corrupt PokerStars profile, then this should fix it:
:diamond:  Open the client, but do not log in
:diamond:  Click the Help button in the right-hand side
:diamond:  On the left-hand side, click "Open My Settings Folder"
:diamond:  In the window that opens up, find "user.ini" and "notes.xxxxxx.xml" (xxxx will be your user name)
:diamond:  Save those two files somewhere that you'll be able to find them again.
:diamond:  Close the PokerStars client
:diamond:  Open it again and try to log in — if it works, you're good to go, but you will need to reset your settings

Once you have confirmed it all works, copy your notes.xxxxx.xml file back to your settings folder.
If you like, you can also copy the user.ini file back to see if it works again — it might. Just to be on the safe side though, be sure to save the newly-created one.

Best of luck :gl:,

Well i can only find user.ini file it seems in that appdata local pokerstars folder no notes file
And when i only remove that user ini file i still get my username/password error when trying to login :(

So i guess for now i'm forced to switch between profiles as i don't want to format my pc

Not so fast.
PokerStars has published detailed instructions on how to completely uninstall the client.
Once that is done, download a fresh copy and re-install it.

Once again, be sure you have a full backup in case something goes ɓuoɹʍ er... wrong

The instructions are here:

At this point I would strongly suggest that you contact PokerStars support using the tool in the client once you have successfully logged in.

It is unlikely you are the only person that this has happened to.

I'm out of ideas
