Villain seemed fishy maniac sort at least 3betting way too much. I think this hand play best as pot x-r on flop? SPR 2 on turn I went for pot.

Three options.
- Raise flop, pot a lot of turns
- Call flop, raise non-club turn
- Call flop, call turn and trap

The more you know about your opponent, decision gets easier. Versus relatively unknown raise with an Ace is normally a good option, but I would like to use smaller sizing. Of course that kinda requires opponent to bet small too, here opponent bets big. A pot sizing should remove bluffs from your range and opponent should continue only with strong hands.

One problem is the pair in your hand, it removes bunch of good runouts for your hand. If you had 3 overs to make nut boat, I would like raise more. With this hand I think call is a good option too.

agree with kyyberi, call flop see turn should be a good line here and your hand is indeed a bit vulnearble / difficult to improve. picking up the nut fd i guess can x-r / pot / x-c. not sure what i'd go for tbh, probably villain/mood dependend. don't think either can be a big blunder? (would you guys exclude one of these on this turn if just calling flop befor? / if yes why?)
Also you are blocking 54 heavily - limiting the amount of villains draws too, so overall i'd say its a good spot to be careful aswell unless you are sure dude is bonkers.
Vs maniac thats overly aggro i like to be just as"brutal" and your line seems fine. making a boat on turn instead of picking up fd i'd even consider the double x-r

Yeah in general I approach trips with pocket in passive manner. I think in this spot I was kind of mixing the idea of potting this sort of hand in 3bet pot scenario where bad playability but high equity can make lot of sense as pot bet or raise. But here of course deep SPR makes it more awkward and questionable.

Result was pretty dirty in this as villain had KK87ccc so on any club he would not have got implieds from me but managed to hit two of his perfect outs.

expected the KKxx (or 63xx) since you posted the hand and thats the most likely no comeback combo for him to hold thats shoving turn vs your line ^^
this kind of trips definetly tricky - especially vs aggo villain and on K or Q turn i start to get some kind of vietnam flashbacks o_O
had a hand yesterday that felt similar that i posted in my blog - just my open was already a bit lose and questionalbe? anyhow the line as played reminded me ^^
