Ok here is a situation i found myself in this weekend.
Blinds £1/£1
SB approx £100
Me (BB) £80
Im in the BB with pockets 10s, there are 7 limpers in the pot so obviously i can check and play my PP for set value or raise and thin the field, As i get alot of respect for my raises at this place and hadnt played a hand for around 45mins i decide to Raise to £11 as this is likely to win the pot right there or get it heads up .
Everyone folds except the SB who is a big fish who will call raises of any size with small SC or even dominated hands (a few hands before he called £60 preflop with KQo)
Flop is A57 two hearts. pot is around £28
SB checks, I bet £16 he raises £35 more.
Now a few weeks ago he did the exact same thing (exact same raise amount) and I laid down TPTK and he showed me 54s, a flush draw. So for this question lets ignore the ace or the chance he had 2 pair or set and assume that I have the best hand now and we know without question he has a flush draw. My question is really about the next step.
As we know that he is a fish and if I go all in he will call should i just call on the flop and check it down to the river, saving me my last £30 if no heart comes or get it all in on the flop and risk losing the whole stack if a heart comes.
I realise that as he's 4:1 against hitting his flush theoritically is should get it all in but isnt it also prudent to maybe take the second route and see what the turn brings at least before putting in my last chips (although he will still call my last £30 on the turn now anyway as the pot is now £90)??
