Hi All
I've calmed down a bit now lol. Thanks for your post Letchlord, I really enjoyed reading it. I'm flattered that you take the time to read my blog regularly, and I wonder how many more people are doing the same, that haven't posted before. I know from recent posts that there are some, and through the number of hits recorded.
I like the smile when you said "when" I return. lol You know I wouldn't throw the towel in didn't you?
I came home last night from a night out drinking, and did exactly what you should not do. As it happens, I at least had the presence of mind to steer clear of my FT PS account. I did, however, play poker on my other account I have on Pokerstars, which incidentally, has gone downhill faster than my FT account recently, as I use it to do more "experimenting" with. Sometimes things go well, but haven't done lately, until last night that is.
As I say, I did what I shouldn't do. I played after alchohol, and I played outside my BR. I had < $100 in the account, yet entered a $10 sng. I found the opposition to be tougher and much more aggressive than my usual level, but that must have made me focus more intently and not take risks. Along with the inevitable bit of luck, I came 2nd, and was over the moon !
I came so close to blowing it at one point, when I got sucked out on, and went from being chip leader to a short stack in a huge pot. My first reaction, following recent results, was that this was more of the same crap. I could feel myself, along with the alchohol, about to do something stupid. Fortunately, I stopped myself, and bided my time patiently, and let the aggression of the table knock each other about, whilst I just shoved when the conditions were right. My patience paid off, and I got rewarded with 2nd place. I logged off at that point on a high, and feeling that I was back.
It doesn't take much to excite me does it ? lol.
All the best
Bryan
