So villain had been very laggy so far in 3 handed. Not huge amount of 3bets but had been barrel happy postflop. One player left moment ago and it became HU.
Pre and flop are standard. Turn I could have also potted but I dont mind 3/4 pot either. How to play river? I personally feel like check is bit too conservative option but GTO wise it might make sense as we dont have any boat blockers? That said I doubt villain necessarily protects his check range that much with flopped strong made hands. Like trying to go for x-r. So I was not that worried of being beat and with two busted fd and some QJ missing I feel like overpairs are very sticky here.
But when he does x-shove he obviously reps boats. If I think this from my range view between call or fold:
Call:
- My range with flop check, turn bet have very few boats. Classical top of my range argument
- I dont block high fd hands.
- Price I get is pretty good. 25 for pot of 95 so we need to be good less than 30% of time
Fold:
- I dont block boats
- This is pretty ballsy spot to bluff imo and generel opponent on these limits are likely underbluffing
Outside of flop slowplays boat combos would be like 77, 97.
