So did we! No fishy Friday today due to left-over chicken. Used up the left-overs and almost forgot half a glass tomato paste in the fridge! :f_o: So, made nice tomato soup with left-over basil from the garden (last harvest!), the sweet pepper and the cayenne pepper I had harvested yesterday and some mediterranean spices. A perfect soup not only to use up the mussgoes and left-overs, but also to say "goodbye" to summer. Fall is here! Definitely!

Had to deal with some bad aquaplaning on my commute to work today... but I was very grateful for the rain after all. Dried meadows have been the sight of this summer, and still are.

Granddaughter has left — but not before she made us burritos for supper last night, and a breakfast burrito this morning.
I don't bother wrapping the stuff in the tortilla.
I eat the filling with a spoon, and the tortilla separately

We had tacos and burritos on Saturday evening... my bum-bum was not grateful that night... :f_ugly:

Tacos are indeed quite messy to eat, though I'll do it anyway. Tortilla wraps are fine, I believe. I imagine most tortillas would be a little bland on their own?

I have less difficulty with tacos.
With tortillas, they break while I'm eating them, and I end up eating them with a knife and fork anyway

During the last hour of my shift today, the big question on my mind was "kebab or pizza? or maybe even a schnitzel?". :f_confused:

I still wasn't completely sure by the time I stepped into the store. In the end, it was the bolognese schnitzel that prevailed - the priciest option, actually.

Pretty good, but it was missing the chili flakes that I would usually add on top if I was eating right there at the kebab store.

My grandson had a dream that he made a cake.
So last night, he asked if he could bake a cake, so Mrs Vorpal guided him through the steps of making a cake from a mix.

He served it topped with peaches and whipped cream.

Smoky again today, and will once again be quite warm.
How warm?
It depends on who you believe:
:diamond:  Environment Canada weather app: Max 22 at 15:00
:diamond:  Weather Network app: Max 21 from 12:00 to 17:00
:diamond:  Built-in weather app: Same as Weather Network — although often all 3 are different

I'll close the house up at around 11:00
