$0.10 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players

Hero (BTN): $10.48 (104.8 bb)
SB: $13.39 (133.9 bb)
BB: $10.38 (103.8 bb)
UTG: $67.04 (670.4 bb)
MP: $15.83 (158.3 bb)
CO: $14.74 (147.4 bb)

SB posts $0.05, BB posts $0.10

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has 7 8
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.23, SB raises to $1.00, fold, Hero calls $0.77

Flop: ($2.10, 2 players) 6 9 Q
SB checks, Hero bets $1.07, SB raises to $2.50, Hero calls $1.43

Turn: ($7.10, 2 players) K
SB bets $2.34, Hero folds

Hands:242
Stats:22/16/9.9/67
3Bet Stats:10/101

Preflop: I think is a standard call in BU against SB.

Flop: He should have a wide hand range where he missed the flop. And with an OESD I think I have to play a bet here.
And raise I think I have to call as well since the pot odds are still just about right.

Turn: I think a fold should be ok here?

I think you played it ok, though I would be more inclined to play a bit passive this type of hand as we are drawing to nuts only on 5 and we have no blockers. JTs on the other hand I would play a lot more aggressive.

It's interesting if you have information about villains post-flop play, but his/her check/raise on the flop looks really strong and is already close to call with only 4 clean outs for a straight.

Turn you get decent odds to call, but if if you hit a straight you could be beat as well or it's tough to get value. Fold is fine.

Cheers,

What are peoples thoughts on checking back the flop? I don't think there is much in his range folding to bet, and we're not super happy if we get x/r'd. Also not many turn cards we can barrel on when we bet the flop that aren't in villains range ott.

It makes sense to check back on the flop because check from the 3bettor in this spot is suspicious. Still i will make a small bet like 1/3 and try to define what his check really means and get some clue of where i am in the hand.

As played seems okay. I will fold on the turn even with good price. Tx will give us a straight but it will be obvious and hard to get value out of it.

If I know my opp is playing pretty fit or fold post flop I don't mind a 1/3 bet, but would want evidence of that. Otherwise it a pretty much shows your hand for what it is and can be exploited

What information are you trying get with that bet that you don't already know?

1. We can be pretty sure based on this flop that we are behind in absolute terms wrt v's range
2. We bet and get x/r - well, now we know we are still behind (nothing new learnt) and made further streets harder for us to play, even IP.
3. V calls, well 90% of his range is going to peel this spot i.e FE is not high here, so again, I've not learnt much

With point 2, yeh I guess V could be bluffing, and calling depends on the price, but you're going to struggle to continue if an overcard comes, plus the T has you possibly coolered. I'm not sure that spot is +ev most the time

So all in all I don't think betting tells you much more than what you already know, peeling a free turn card IP to improve our hand seems best

fFor me it is fold preflop vs 3B.
Check back on the flop and / vs. rerise.

I like fold too preflop, suited connectors not catch boards like someody tells. We must catch perfect flop to get and continue action and opponent pay out.

If he is tricky player or not. Then i will mark him as such and will not fall for the trap next time. While if we check back he can barrel turn with his entire range and will be very hard to define it

Hello,

I like how this hand is played, Villain's flop check can often be a weak TP, second pair, AT, AJ or AK. Part of that range we can fold on the turn with a second bet if Villain only calls the flop.
And on that turn he would not fight the pot.
