megaloshara (UTG): $91.36 (365 bb)
Baratrum777 (MP): $28.09 (112 bb)
cocostars8 (CO): $53.65 (215 bb)
Ch1pleadurrr (BU): $25.01 (100 bb)
monte181181 (SB): $25.00 (100 bb)
misteralex93 (BB): $25.00 (100 bb)

Pre-Flop: ($0.35) Hero (misteralex93) is BB with 8 J
3 players fold, Ch1pleadurrr (BU) raises to $0.60, 1 fold, misteralex93 (BB) calls $0.35

Flop: ($1.30) 5 J 8 (2 players)
misteralex93 (BB) checks, Ch1pleadurrr (BU) bets $0.80, misteralex93 (BB) raises to $2.85, Ch1pleadurrr (BU) calls $2.05

Turn: ($7) Q (2 players)
misteralex93 (BB) bets $4.84, Ch1pleadurrr (BU) calls $4.84

River: ($16.68) 2 (2 players)
misteralex93 (BB) bets $16.71 (all-in), Ch1pleadurrr (BU) folds

Total pot: $16.68 (Rake: $0.75)
misteralex93 (BB) wins $15.93

Think I should bet more on the turn tbh. When he just calls, I don’t think I’m beat unless he has the flush redraw with a better 2 pair / straight. I think a shove looks more like a missed draw than maybe 1/2 pot on the river.

Any info of the villain in this hand?
Pre-flop I would most likely fold J8o. This hand isn't playing well post-flop.

Post-flop seems allright. You could size up a little bit more on the turn to get it easier in the middle on the river, but this is already a decent sizing I think.

Yeah I agree. J8 definitely shouldn’t have been a call pre haha but you’re right, bigger turn bet would be better to set up for river shove

Not sure if he would call a bigger bet on turn. I would however consider a smaller value bet OTR since an allin shows too much strength and nobody is calling that anymore without the nuts. Although the standard play might be a fold pre I still like mixing it up once in a while like you did. Good for the action next time when you play exactly the same with a monster.

Pretty fancy preflop call... :)
I like the postflop play but remember that you will see a flop like this pretty much very rare to make your preflop call good...

Thanks frisky, I agree a smaller value bet OTR is better and yes I usually good fold pre but sometimes mix in a call

Thanks Nitrol, you’re right
