I would just go with it if you get to that far.
Yeah awkward I know. I invested like 50bb and total stack was 500bb so I thought maybe not too late to get outta there. Also multitabling. I was like: I dont fold to a minraise a couple of times and then thought about if I want to go All In with K high because this wont stop and decided I dont.

30.000 Hands Milestone
Totally happy at this milestone with the decision to attack the game one more time 
the cherry on top of the rungood was some bonuses this week: I completed my first 40% challenge for $10 and most surprisingly went 1st on the PLO5 leaderboard for $20. I never thought I would ship a leaderboard because the way they work should favor the VPIP 80 guys. Well, maybe I loosened up lately
I also played the WCOOP NLH Sunday Warmup L for my $22 ticket. I knocked out one guy for $5 bounty but thats already it. Not sure if cashgames reduce the ability to stay ultra focused and aware for your MTT stack but I have to admit I didnt try too hard to win the Donkament: Both hands vs same guy:

Another month without finished goals 
played 11.223 hands of 12.500. Well, for now I will go with pokerstars challenges as volume goals instead. Those who read this blog and payed attention might have recognized that I got first challenges when I mixed PLO5 tables in.
So I chased a normal and a mini challenge and decided to take a break this weekend knowing the month went very positive resultswise. Free weekend as a reward 
Some might have already got the info that there are currently new sorts of challenges out due to testing. I just received a usual challenge again for this month but happy it is 40% again:
For theory I finish the leakbuster course and then focus on getting better on shortstack PLO and return to quizzing to get more interactive instead of just watching videos. That's all I can think of for now. As mentioned earlier Im pretty happy right now how everything is evolving and I dont want to dip too hard into changing my current style into a GTO style that might not fit my current stakes exploiting and therefore crushing the games.
I think it was Negreanu who once said: 'If you only have poker in life, you basically have nothing!' So while I'm still not a DevOps Engineer paid in full I focus on that career goal by getting myself some extra training. More on that hopefully by the end of the month.
While I have to wait for the IT training I managed to get some side hustle as a video editor. Editing,Cutting, Color grading and stuff. I like it because you can be somewhat nerdy about that topic, but also get creative. Very nice alternative right now if I dont want to poker but for now not really something to make a living from, at least for now.
Rest of the time fully goes into Tiger 
I live in central city area and IMO a cat needs to go outside. Now I'm not the guy who is too careful and protective. I think one aspect of life is: It comes with risk. Still, after reading, reading and reading 'cat strategy articels' about food, health, what to do with doctors and stuff I get a little worried for the day the cat will go outside. But well, I still think she has to, so I prepare her as good as I can this winter.
I thought about if she will be able to jump to several places later. Then I found cats can jump up to 2 meters or 4-5x their body length 
I also found a new game for her that we will play every day for now:

For life aside the felt: As mentioned in my last blog I'm looking forward for some DevOps IT training. I got the confirmation this week that I can start in November. Training will be remotely done but full time for 5 months. So besides poker, video editing, feeding, entertaining, training a cat I will have to cut down something somehow. Well we all know it can not be the kitten, relax 
We will see how things go. Meanwhile tiger can jump 1.65m. The cat is just very lazy and has to be very bored to bother jumping for her toy 
She also recently evolved the best technique to get on my nerves, meowing and jumping on my back obv always when I have to focus or on telephone. 
Oh well, the cat is young and not castrated, therefore can not go outside yet. But veterinary day is this monday and we are working heavily towards getting the cat outside because this kitty is just too energetic to lurk around inside my apartment 24/7/365.

Now first of all, I dont like how he played the hand: In his shoes when I checkback flop he should bet OTT. checkraise he could go for with an additional good draw and a straightblocker.
From my perspective I dont see him holding many straights OTT and also have outs so I have to call the checkraise. It also seemed to me more like he recognize when I checkback turn I dont hold many straights unless im balanced and when turn brings a FD I see him do this with many backdoordraws so I call turn.

Now this is where would just love to checkdown and see a cheap SD but when he bets small OTR I completly go for my read: If he has a boat he should go for big valuebet. especially when he has overfull, has no flushblockers, not side pairs from the board that bocks other boats. If he has any of this he can adjust vbet towards 1/2 - 3/4 instead of pot IMHO.
As a thinking TAG I would not pay 3 streets with an OP just because the streets where cheap. I see either pure trips or flushes here that go for small value vs trips/ops. Now the crazy thing is: vs trips and small flushes I saw a valueraise. So I went for it.
And the really nasty part of the story: villain showed 88 and asked me if I had Queens
Now this might be not perfectly played, could even be one of these spots where you either look like a genius or complete retard. But this is one of the reasons I really do not like betting 1/4 - 1/3 OTR for thin value. Of course, if you mix that up with nuts you are fine but to me this feels a bit too complicated. stick with 1/2 or pot OTR and dont narrow down your range by vbetting small IMHO

Preflop clear 3bet. Trainer would actually go for 2/3 cbet and shove versus pot raise. I suppose all components are just so strong that it make sense even 200bb deep. KK without nut gs, K high fd and no strong made hand would be used for x-c though.
Villain small size on turn is pretty reasonable. He has board fairly locked down with some of his hands like 88 or Qx boat. But also want to value bet some of Qx and bluff with some draws.
Issue in river is that trips should not value bet and probably not bluff either. Same for small flushes. Though he did overplay that top two earlier. Issue is though that does weaker really call versus river x-r? Him folding 88. Well I can see his way of thought. Hero is unlikely to value shove weaker and its super rare to be bluffed at this spot. Theory wise 88 is very likely supposed to call. Hands making sense to turn into bluff in heroes shoes would be like Qx trips or some 8765 type stuff I would think.
For first hand I think villain line would be fine with some top or mid set. I had similar hand yesterday where opponent went for imo bit too thin value with top two:

I think it would be more beneficial for SB to bet bit smaller on turn and potting river is somewhat thin. I might call some K9 or J9 with straight blocker though.

40.000 Hands Milestone
So close on finishing the bankroll challenge. Also so little time and motivation to grind. Why? Well, my IT training is live for now and takes the most time of my day right now. After 6-7 hours of IT theory I'm done for theoretical activities in front of the computer. But when I found that I missed my monthly challenge for one day I was really disappointed even though we just talk about $20 it was 40% rakeback 
For now I can just commit myself to participate in the BRC and keep grinding until the goal is reached. But any serious grind I can just commit to after february 2023 again, when the training ends.
Aside the felt: The cat is fully vaccinated meanwhile and has another date for chipping + castration this year, so she will go outside as soon as the next rays of sunshine appear. jumping is around 170cm, she is very lazy and jumping for her toy became a rare thing but I feel like this is just some proof for intelligence

Monetary goals are just not the way to go for poker. If I learned something in the last 18 years about the game its not reaching monetary goals can be very very disappointing and unmotivating for a player.
I wish I could come up with a plan for the new year but pokerstars just decided to wipe the challenges/rakeback for german players with beginning of 2023. Another shit news that makes me losing interest of the game.
Unregulated clubs might be the next best thing but the word 'unregulated' is already telling the whole story why Im not too euphoric. I really hope stars comes with any good solution, otherwise I really dont know how I continue.

I completely understand. I play on Stars in a country in which they don't give rakeback or bonus at all. It sucks.
