My guess is that his plan on calling turn was to lead any board changing card to either value bet or bluff. This is actually sort of effective plan versus hand I had. Dry straight without pair or flush blocker make very very bad bluff catcher on most cases. Which is probably also one good pointer to really think if that flop x-c line could be better overall. But yeah its not like my hand was absolute worst of nut straights with bdfd and JJ.

Still one issue is also that when BU called flop he has something reasonable. Could be like plain nfd, top two or some pair+ngs+bdfd etc. Point being that BU very likely still blocked some of BB boat outs.

Starting to feel more comfortable on plo100. Had pretty sizable pot today versus one aggro reggy looking villain. I think top set with fd is too strong to check on turn even if it does complete straight. But its not like worst kind of straight card either. Bet-folding is obviously not an option. Luckily villain has kind of same hand but totally dominated. I think dry QQ I would just check turn.

From villain view I suppose its fine line postflop. Preflop I am not usually calling hands like that from SB. Like if I check this in plo50 rake versus CO open its like -0.48bb if I remember correctly. But big difference here is limper which mean price to call is bigger and you are very often entering 3-4way pot. That hand is not nice to play from SB in multiway pot.

Its kind of interesting that solver is actually bet-folding fair amount of top sets in this kind of spot in HU pot:

But yeah I suppose bet has too much value to not go for it. I think for humans though that is action that doesnt come naturally as bet-folding top set feels very wrong when you have option to take river for free.

Again last hand of the session created big pot. Had been constantly missing versus this villain for while but at last hit practical nuts. Have to say butterflies started to roam in river when faced snap min x-r....

Got some slot freerolls and 100€ bonus on non poker things. 7€ or so from 100 rolls that had 10€ total value. Then played that 100€ bonus on some slot also but managed to get like to 10% of recycle requirement when it was already gone. That in slot that had 98% return rate advertised. Some of the slots had like 92% only.

Well I can see why some people can get addicted to those. Getting some wins and freerolls and graphic effects blasting away. Anyway don't touch any slots etc. if you don't either do it as freeroll as I did or have bonus that increase return rate to over 100.

Not familiar with those casino bonus grindings like how much above 100% they can be. But probably most of time quite variance heavy anyway.

once had a hot run on ipoker some years ago when they gave regular free spins. made around 1000€ casino money in 1 hour and had to keep grinding that all afternoon for 4 or 5 hours. was getting really annoyed already after one hour, just sitting there and clicking the button :why: also didnt understand whats going on^^
think got 100 as real money reward for the bankroll at the end. didnt feel great somehow
dont know. maybe it is fun when you sit there with beer and chips but that's nothing for me and never did that for entertainment

I played those slots in mobile by using automated feature. Just input number of spins and lose limit so that if it get to 100€ loss it will stop. But yeah recycle requirement was 25x so 2.5k€.

I think main attraction in slots whatever it's in online or live are probably chemicals brain release when winning. Getting addicted to that feeling. Finland is kind of comical with those slot machines that are still spread in everyday places like grocery stores. In smaller numbers than decade ago but still not big fan of current situation.

As said I don't play slots but I often think how logically people who play them are thinking. Especially elderly people but there are also often teens playing them. Legally one should be 18 though I suppose there is soon sort of ID check coming to those so underage shouldn't be able to play alone.

Personally I do use fair amount of time with video games but I would compare those more with things like movies/books/hobbies etc.

On my recent cruise there was a casino on board with craps, blackjack, a couple of poker-based table games and about 80 slot machines (but no poker at all). I found it amazing that people would sit there hour upon hour and play the slots. I've played them in Reno and Vegas in the past, but found them mind-numbingly boring. When I was in Reno, the machines were still mechanical, and provided more feedback, and were actually more fun to play than the modern electronic-only ones — at least IMHO

Yeah its pretty sad sight. Here in Finland its not that rare to see some elderly people playing good chunk of their pension on those slots. Veikkaus has monopoly on these and their official reasoning is decreasing gambling issues. But then again like 5% of players bring most of their profits. Cant remember anymore was it like 70% of profits. Some really absurd number anyway.

Bit of profit to fill yesterday hole today. Bit frustrating session anyway as I just got crushed by one close to vpip 100 guy. That at least feel so common that I would not be surprised if I have worst winrate versus this player type. Probably not though.

Couple of good example hands:

MP open, I call in BU and both blinds call behind. Bet half pot on flop and 3/4 pot on turn. River went checked. Could pot turn as well I suppose but would have cost more this time. This guy just hit these most of time.

In this open CO, BU call (as he did 90+% of time), I decided to x-c flop to 3/4 pot bet. Could also cbet but both line is fine. Turn faced another 3/4 pot and river went checked.

But yeah it was constantly so that somehow this guy just improved with whatever shit he played. Actually lets post third hand:

MP open, BU call and I squeeze. Both call which is likely 90%+ of the time case. Flop I decided to go for 1/4 pot bet but not sure. MP call and BU shoves. I folded and both have trips. Its tricky versus these players especially on these type of paired flops as they can have pretty much any card at decent frequency. But yeah raise-called A753sss and flopping trips+gs. Easy game.

Induce worked in plo25 table on river. People tend to fast play sets very often so its kind of hard to believe villain on this spot. Well I had weak boat as well which will block 66 and some unlikely T3. Some 44 is possible but I doubt TT will slowplay flop practically ever.

Swingy sessions recently. Today bit over 500€ down. Mainly by losing some big pots in frustrating manner. This was not one of them but kind of shows why I am not big fan of this hand category in general. Preflop when facing 3bet I am not thrilled being oop but its just bit too good to fold. Then we get good flop and I think there is not really any point to take different line from x-shove. One of those spots where you just pray villain doesnt have overpair+fd.

Solver wise CO is supposed to bet-fold around 40% of time at least on T84ss flop. This flop is bit more dry though I doubt 84 part matter that much for MP range.

Couple of the  plays from opponents that cost me quite a bit today:

EP open, reggy MP 3bet, I 4bet, EP call and MP fold. Flop SPR was around 1.5 and EP lead pot. Cant really fold with nut gs and AA. Also kind of spot where I think hands like sets would probably not play often like this. Well versus that hand I were slight favorite as well.

Another one with similar theme:

MP open, I 3bet, SB cold call, BB short stack shoves bit below 50bb, MP fold, I 5bet pot to 76€, SB call. Flop SB lead shove SPR below 0.1 and shows trips. Awesome way to lose 190bb stack.

This was also dirty turn card. VIllain had played any4 and always limping or calling. So flop is obviously not that great versus "uncapped range" which is why I went with x-c. On turn I thought villain could very well have some weaker sets or maybe some two pairs with fd. Even versus straight I have over 40% equity.

Ok lets check some hands. In this one my main question was if villain should really raise his hand on flop. MP range has lot of strong stuff so raising felt bit questionable.

Solver wise my hand would be mix of bet and x-r mostly. My range is supposed to cbet around 50% of time so it make sense some of strong ones need to also check now and then if we want to be balanced. Villain facing 3/4 pot cbet should raise only 3.6% of time and its mainly made hands like AA (should be sometimes in pre call range), AQQ, AQ99, QQJT, 99JT. From wraps only those that have board pair blocker are sometimes raising and KJT8 is actually pure call. Reasoning for this is I believe two fold:

- Blocking board pair will decrease amount of sets and two pair in MP range
- Made hand value with KJT will help versus other wrap type of hands.

So in BU shoes hand like AKJT is supposed to raise always. Also when MP face BU raise he is supposed to ship it with any KJT+board pair. But again pretty much only call without. It make sense in a way that those wraps have perfect visibility. In this hand also when villain does raise and face my 3bet I think its better to potentially call and fold when board pairs. There is of course some chance that I happen to have wrap as well but overall when he doesnt have any blocker to made hands there will be ton of AA, QQ, AQ type hands. I would not have 3bet with AQ without at least some support like ngs+bdfd.

But yeah in general when having wrap in rainbow flop its also good to think about what sort of wrap is it. Its strong hand category but its kind of easy to think "I do fine versus top two or even set" but worst case scenarios are when villain has bit stronger wrap or set that block/split your wrap outs. So with deeper SPR its good to think about nuttiness of the wrap. Top pair is also big friend like in this hand I had today:

Open raised CO and called BU 3bet. X-r flop.

Checked this spot from trainer and lot of two or three pairs are looking to lead flop. I suppose for blocking betting range as one of main reasons but also need for protection:

One good side in implementing lead range is to be able to lead also some of those blocker hands like QJJx without two pair or oesd which are in pretty awkward spot if facing cbet.

Today changed stacks to show in BB amount in tables. Not sure why I have not done that earlier. But helps especially when mixing limits as it's so easy to see e.g. minraise open in plo25 being limp in plo50.

Or my classic error of misreading no SB spot when UTG opens and accidentally 3betting. Happened today again which made me change to BB format.

Interesting spot today. I could see argument on flop to both directions. We obviously have overall strong hand but at same time hand is also blocking a lot from opponents ranges. So I decided to check flop. Turn open second fd and went for 3/4 pot bet. BB goes for x-r saying he has me beat if its value hand. Its sort of tricky spot as board is so dynamic that even if BB has AK does he want to go for x-r without at least one fd? I think in BB shoes I would tend to lead dry AK because even with x-r SPR on river will be sizable.

Anyway my flop check probably induced this spew move from villain and this is also big issue in doing no equity bluffs in very dynamic boards. But yeah if river was blank he would have likely got it through. Btw BB should just fold preflop but lot of people think nut suit only is good for overcall in BB. Its not really.

Crazy crazy tables today. It can be kind of tricky to play sometimes in these tables. Thing is on one hand you want to play deep stacked as people did some really bad stuff but on other hand preflop was really wild kind of randomly.

Result wise day didn't go great with losing several 4bet pots with AA and few 300+bb multiway pots. Especially one beat felt nasty as there was one really good customer I finally got in good spot with KQJT on KTx flop. Got flop x-r in, potted turn 4 and shoved river 4 with SPR 0.3 or so. Villain shows up with QQJ4 so had one out to win on flop and then makes runner runner trips. This guy had done few times earlier runner runner hits as well.

Luckily I got bit later AAJTds Vs AAT8r Vs 8764ds 3way preflop allin. The good customer was with rundown as small equity favourite but got bit of luck in there.

Lost four 150-450bb pot though in plo50. I was actually thinking of folding this preflop but seems like no one else had AA. Equity wise it was pretty much 3way flip preflop. Seems like solver wise this would be actually fold to this action with low suit. Though then again SB was 3betting way too loose so probably not in practice.

Woot nice pot at end of the session in one of those maniac tables. Finally hitting in strong way and bit over 80% flop equity holding. Might be biggest pot I have won. Close at least.

That one felt really good after the session had been with lot of beats and maybe winning 1/3 of the allin spots where equity was around 50%.

PS: I remember thinking on preflop when facing BB squeeze that I would fold as default but as I knew SB is never folding and can do absurd overplays it was easy call.
