This hand bugs me. It was so hard to fold!
It was to much of a risk with bottom set.

Preflop: Hero is UTG2 with 2♠, 2♣
Hero calls $0,05, MP1 folds, MP2 calls $0,05, 2 folds, BU calls $0,05, SB calls $0,03, BB checks.

Flop: ($0,25) 2♥, 9♠, 6♥ (5 players)
SB bets $0,05, BB folds, Hero raises to $0,30, MP2 raises to $4,77 (All-In), 3 folds, MP2 gets uncalled bet back.

Final Pot: $0,90

He said he had 38, a bluff. But I don't believe him, surely he must've had a bigger set (or AA, KK- less probable).

This looks like a fish play to me from the villain. He could have anything but i'm quit sure he didn't had a higher set, so i would ve payed him. IMO.

i would have called too, cause he can play the same with 2 pair (which you beat), a flushdraw (if hes really really big fish)

Ooooh boy, this... is a scared money play dude.

It's 5NL... come on. People at these stakes can do this with any A9 hand, hell I'd definitely stick it in with A:h 9:h here. And at this stake people could make this play with 87 to etc... but he could just as well have slowplayed an overpair.

If he does have a higher set it's a cooler. But folding here is just absolutely terrible. You flop a set 1/8 times... if you're gonna start folding here you might as well quit playing pocket pairs cause it'll be -EV if you play them like this.

I´d called. he can shove there a lot worse hands like two pair or flushdraws
