Im playing on Unibet, not a lot of traffic but I likethat people cant use HUD while playing. Probably not a good place to learn if you have never looked into your stats on a larger sample but its a bit weaker players because of it 
Its been a very slow week, very few hours played, but felt like a break was good and was spending sometime with friends instead.
BR is now 6363€, not much to say other than im happy to post a winning week, started out by losing a few BI but managed to recover in very short time.
I still feel confident I can reach my goal some time in July, but will have to push volume a bit more over the next few weeks before I start work. Hope that if we open on may 21st we will only be open till 11pm or midnight like other places and I can get home and play for 1-2h before the games die out
Nice blog. I definitely agree that Unibet is a great room to play at in terms of softness and enjoyability. It’s funny how they left the microgaming network and ended up doing better than the rest of the network.
Thanks mate, yeah I think Unibet did really well with their stand alone poker room, far better than microgaming. Without hand history studying is a little tougher for me. I work with Trommelboy some to get better, but mostly I have just paid attention while playing to player tendencies and been thinking about what I could do better. Not an approach I would recommend to others, but to get back to NL50 where I was a winning player before this was plenty for me for now.
I just saw I have been marked a NL expert, I'm flattered but not sure how deserved it is 
May has been a very slow month for me, not a lot of hours put into poker. BR is at 6600€, so a small winning month overall. I chose to spend quite a lot of time with friends this month, thats okay but will have to be more disciplined in June to reach my goal in reasonable time.
It's a bit of a fail for me this month, but with corona restrictions lifting, it was nice to get back out and be able to do stuff. Will make up for lost time in June/July and push for more hours.

Well, your BR was 6.6k in this post - when you signed up for the BR challenge it was 7.5k.
Let's see if you are again one of the fastest winners of the challenge, or if the steady-eddie approach for cashgame is a bit better!

Thanks Sven I've had quite a big downswing in august. Peak BR was at 8430€ just before the Bankroll challenge started and dropped to 7500€ when I entered. first report was at 6370€ or so and have played 1 session since with a pretty decent win
It's been pretty rough to drop almost 2100€ on a mix of NL50 and NL100, but except for some pretty big punts, the run has been pretty crazy, felt like a complete reverse of April, where I ran quite a bit above EV, and almost never lost the big setups.
Looking for options to play live poker in the near future, unfortunately a trip to Prague in october was cancelled due to some stupid mistakes about getting holliday from work the same week. Hopefully more on this soon, but with the big dip in BR, maybe its for the best not to pay for flights and hotel to play 1/3€ games in the short term.
I neededa bit of a change, felt like the cash game grind got a bit boring at times and played too much on auto pilot. Have played some MTTs instead and has been pretty decent.
Playing MTTs is quite different from cash games, I'm still making some stupid mistakes every once in a while. But I feel my game is improving and having to think a little more about each spot forces me to pay more attention and not fall too much into auto pilot mode. Plan is to stick with mtts for a bit, think they are pretty good value and return to cash when I have had a needed break from that grind.
Stats so far are pretty decent, sample size way too small to conclude anything. had some deep runs as well in bigger tournaments, but have not gotten a big payout yet.

Hi Sven, I had to take a break from the blog Also took a break from poker for a while, started playing weak because I wanted to keep my money for wsope cash games. I have decided to quit the BR challenge, I feel its too draining mentally for me, and prefer to just focus on poker and let the results be what they are without having to keep track all the time
I went to Rozvadov and arrived Sunday 21st late at around 10.30pm. Got some food and played for around 3 hours before calling it quit the first day.
Monday I had to wait 9 hours to get a seat in the 2/5€ game, the lowest they offered. Played for an other 3-4 hours and won big.
Tuesday the only offered 5/10€ NL CG, so went to Konstanz on the boarder to Switzerland. Only played for a little more than 1h there before the only table broke and headed back. This was where I made the first big mistake and punted off around 350€ (EV was -250€ roughly) Will post the hand later and my reasons, but it was just bad play because I was wrong in my assumptions.
Day 4 headed to Prague, this was some of the best games I have seen in poker. Started out losing 600€ in a 1/2€ game. Happy with my play I buy 600€ more in chips and get a seat in 2/4€ game shortly after.
Im down around 500€ at this point and buy in for 440€. Will post hands later on, but cashed out a stack worth around 2400€. If I had the bankroll for this game, there is no way I would cash out, but Almost everyone at the table had 500bb stacks or more, so chickened out and called it a day.
Day 5 was last day of poker and I was going on 3h of sleep. Played for about 6 hours and won 440€ for the day, not many interesting hands but made a call I feel was -EV, but not really sure.
Didnt feel like staying in Prague for a long time alone, was planning on being at the wsope with lots of poker and players around, but with no games I can afford going I chose to go home.
I learned a fair bit and got pretty comfortable playing live poker again, overall Im very happy with my game. One thing I would recommend anyone who want to go to big events is, learn to play PLO. There were so many 5/5€ PLO games going the days I couldnt get 2/5€ NL games. They looked really juicy, but I really didnt feel comfortable playing in them. So gonna spend some time learning PLO in the future for more options.
Belgium looks pretty screwed with covid now, alternative is EPT Prague or not going any more this year. Will think about it and decide later on. Gonna chill for a week at home at least then maybe heading out again, but Im for sure gonna go play more live poker next year when covid isnt such a big problem. May be I have to wait for late spring, but lets see how it turns out. Online is always an option in between

I probably check most of the time here, but decided to bet 100€ this time.

I think for a while and exclude AQ, since I dont see any reason to raise flop here. Slow played AA is the only hand that beat me I see maybe play this way, problem is I dont see a lot of bluffs in his range either.
I shove for 444€, so only 44€ for him to call meaning no fold equity at all.
Not gonna spoil the result yet, would like to hear your guys opinions here. Generally I like a check on the flop a lot more, but as played would you fold or shove? And any other though on the hand is welcome.

BB check, UTG+1 bet 92€, I call, BB shove for 450€ effective (he has both players covered) UTG+1 looks disgusted and announce a call quickly with pretty much same stack as me. Im thinking that BB has AA pretty much as the only possible hand here, UTG+1 most likely has KK, maybe QQ although I think he finds a fold here. If none of them can have AhKh here im good to call, and as played I see that as highly unlikely.
I call and UTG+1 ask if we should run it twice, I agree but BB says no.
Running it once turn is 5d, river Th. I announce I have a flush and show my cards, UTG+1 shows me KK with no heart and BB muck. If BB had AA as expected I had right around 50% equity in a 3way all in, thats a nice +ev spot that I won
More hands to come, but have had some difficulties remembering bet size and stack size.
Some big things have happened over the last few months. Dont want to go into details, but this has led me to quit university. Its been rough, on top of it being December that is a tough time of year every year. I feel more free since I made the choice to drop out a few weeks ago but kept to my plan of nothing stressful in January. No poker, just playing some video games, watching some series and hanging out with friends and colleagues.
February has been a time to get my life together, some poker has been played, mistakes were made after a pretty long break from online poker of like 3 months, but feeling good about my game again. Cleaned up my room (this is a pretty big deal to me, have not been able to do that consistently since my girlfriend passed away) started cooking some basic food again, mostly to save money since I have to cut expenses where possible that doesnt take too much away from me.
Bankroll is gonna take a big hit this summer with a large expense of around 4.5k€, that leaves me with around 4.5k€ BR as it is now, so rebuilding is the aim for now.
Next 7 months will be hard work, taking extra shifts at work, playing poker a lot online and when restrictions end for covid I will try to travel once a month to play live poker somewhere in Europe.
This is all in the aim of going pro, not the ideal outcome for me, but last year was a test to see how well I could do and feel like I handled the pressure pretty well. Still a long way to go and lots of work to put into improving my game, my stamina and mental game, but I feel confident I can do it. With recent events this is the best course for me as i see it and it is not the end of the world if I fail, as long as I do everything I can to make it work.
I will not post regular updates, but will check in every once in a while to update on my progress.

I dont have many bluffs here, not the best hand to bluff with, but UTG+1 looked capped at a weakish JX and I could easily have a 4. Chose to use a BDFD/BDSD to bluff with and was gonna shove any diamond and any 8/T giving me the straight draw.

Thanks Tim There is still some way to go, but I am more motivated now than in many years and feel more free to improve my life after accepting that university is not gonna happen. I had a feeling it was making me feel trapped with a challenge that was not clear to me how to overcome, but I was also afraid of taking the step to drop it.
The poker gods have rewarded me with a nice heater for now, cant complain about these results
Hey guys (to anyone who may still be following) 
So last year was a bit tough for me. Poker was decent, but had to withdraw most of my winnings to get by paying my bills. Towards the end of the year I lost motivation to play altogether and took a break from around september. This has lead to my BR being depleted, I now have 100€ left on Unibet.
On the positive side, I got a new job in January, working 30h/week with future potential for full time and working with some finance alongside the current role of more basic stuff.
I feel very lucky to have gotten this chance, my boss is pushing for me to be allowed access equal to a role in finance, the CFO just have not accepted yet and this has to be approved by him.
There was quite a lot of change going on the first few months of this year as a result. Turns out that changing from working night shifts only to working 9-16.30 isnt that easy 
I have played some poker this month, managed to start out on a crazy heater and winning 30 stacks on NL10, just to lose most of it on NL25 in a nice reality check. Moved back to NL10 a little late, and was a bit sloppy/runbad combined left me with 45€, that is now back up to 100€.
Started medication as well in end of last year, took a while to adjust to it, but feel like it is helping quite a lot. Combined with new job, new place to live and less financial stress I feel better now than I have done in 10½ years. Still some way to go, but very happy with the progress I have felt in the last 6 months and hope for more for rest of 2023
No real goals for Poker as of now, I want to get back to NL 25, may deposit a bit to reach it but depends on how I feel about playing regularly. One thing I know for sure, I will not go back to play for money I need to withdraw every month again, that was not healthy or enjoyable for me.
