Hi everyone,

I was wondering how many of you guys remember the days when Pokerstars hosted Sunday Million and the 1st place would get a car ( 1 Audi TT for the winner) ?

I remember when I first started playing poker they would give a car every single week to the winner of the Sunday Million as an added prize. Is there anyone that remember those days ?

Indeed. That's 14 years ago. At least you're memory is really good.

I think in the past you can collect your rakeback points and the buy merchendise. Things like cards, shirt, caps and also cars.

Yes, I remember that there was a Porsche Cayman in the rewards store in late 2013, and I even remember that MJPerry posted a poem on Pokerstrategy on Christmas Eve that year, which was about a grinder who was trying to collect the points for that Porsche. It implied that it cost a million VPPs, which were what those "player points" were called back then*. That's the price I would have remembered too.

There was plenty of other good stuff as well, at least my NL10 Zoom grind back then was enough to get me a Pokerstars branded leather jacket from the store, I still have that one.

*EDIT: Nevermind, the poem mentioned FPPs and VPPs, and if I remember correctly, the FPPs were the "currency" used in the store, while the VPPs determined your rank (Bronze, Chrome, Silver etc, and then of course Supernova and Supernova Elite). The 1 million VPPs refer to the points needed for Supernova Elite, which may have been a prerequisite for the Porsche Cayman from the store, not sure.

„ Minieri plays on PokerStars under his own name "D.Minieri". He became the first person ever to buy a car, a 2007 Porsche Cayman S, with 3 million frequent player points.“

Not bad
