Villain is fairly solid looking reggy player. I think defend pre is fine with ds and connectivity.

Flop I was not sure if x-c or x-f is better. Maybe also leading could be reasonable though in general I wont usually lead on this kind of board. But yeah if hand is too weak for x-c then leading might be best.

On turn I thought leading could make some sense again but we can also definitely x-c. Maybe even x-r could be option? Well having two pair x-r feels kind of unnecessary.

On river we could have some leads but I think I would prefer to lead bluff some hands with less showdown value. If hand goes checked we have decent chance to win with weak flush. Also not so sure if villain is going to fold that often with high flush versus pot lead. Once we face bet though our hand becomes bluff catcher. With boat blockers and weak flush I decided bluff x-r would be reasonable. Also I have good amount more boats in my range over villains from both preflop and how postflop action went.

Versus unknown or recreational I might have just folded or sometimes called river but I think versus more reggy player I dont mind this big bluff. Value range wise 33+ would be non brainer. Not sure if weaker boats would make sense? Well not that I would have ton of 2x boats anyway.

Hmm... You would value raise 33, because you expect him to call with flushes or 2xxx boats? But you raise small flush because you expect him to fold pretty much that same range?

I don't like the raise when you have the flush. His line looks a lot like a flush or bluff after flop check back. You block his flushes (and some boats) so I think bluff catch is reasonable. But river check-raise, that often raises suspicions. Board changes on the river, so going for a check-raise might make him think "why would he check boat, when river might shut my turn value range down?". The answer is of course to get leverage, that you wouldn't get with just a bet.

His big bet on the river is a bit weird. For value Ass might do it (but almost a pot bet on paired river?), as As blocker. And probably all boats, but he shouldn't have lot of those. Majority of his range should be Ass and bluffs with As of just pure bluff with something else. Not sure he should bet that big with non-nut flushes. But you really think he would pot-fold nut flush versus your line?

I think raising turn, and fold to a 3bet, is a good option. Bluff raising with flush doesn't make sense to me. I would prefer to raise with 1 or no :spade:. As Kyyberi said bluff catching is reasonable.

I don't think boats are folding but I also think opponent rarely has boats. Flushes depends heavily on side cards imo. E.g. nut flush without any boat blocker seems like mandatory fold to me. But hand like A543 would be very reasonable call. You could argue A543 without flush (if turning into bluff) would be better call than AAK5 with nut flush. Though this time end result would be funny.

Turn nuts are almost irrelevant on this river which is one of worst ones for straight. So if we lead river I doubt straight will call that often anyway. Maybe with high spade blocker. So point in my mind is we mainly target flushes or boats with river lead. Unless we go for block sizing I suppose. But I don't think there are that many hands which would want to block as value. Nut flush would make imo good lead as small to medium flushes could often check back but I would still prefer pot lead in this case versus villain capped range.

So in practise we more often want to check boats without flush blocker if hand is strong enough to x-r. In this case unblocking clubs is also good for increasing potential bluff combos I suppose. For bluff candidates I usually prefer to have some reasonable showdown value in case river goes checked. Some of those with no showdown value could perhaps be in lead range.

River x-r does create more leverage for bluff but also chance to build big pot for value. Plus if we do get bluff that's also great for value hand.
