If it's a free browser game, I would still be interested in checking it out once it is done, just to see what it is like.

Seeing this interest, I could put this text-based adventure RPG, which starts at evening near a small town in Estonia, to English as well, would be fun to get feedback etc... but in total there's like more than ~200 different texts (70/200 is ready) which aren't in text editor but on images, so I have to think about it...

Next game after this free RPG will be a platformer jumping and walking game, which is commercial again, that one is more tempting to use two languages and put it on Steam maybe for under 10€ even though I doubt anyone would buy it from there... But I would love to see that one for sale in English, I don't know why.

Always fun to think about localization in advance. Good luck!

"Microstakes gaming" project going overall super well, I love that my online poker player career is combined with creating video games. Really learning NLHE and showing good results on 0.10€ to 2€ level of buy-in, hoping to get to NL10 one day, would be super awesome to bet 6€ vs someone on No Limit table, haven't done that.

Goal: financially independent at year 2028.

This means both poker and gamedev income combined, at the moment the gamedev part is eating money about -10€/month. I have government support +350€/month until at least end of 2027 because of depression experienced in 2019 (? wtf this money), but is a nice motivation to get experienced and build something nice with work till 2028 that would get me stabile income.

Finished sending the business annual money report to the state, such a pain in the ass but could do it somehow, i hope they find it understandable enough.

Just started my own indie game business, it sold one game the first year, but im super happy, the person got super interested and later hired me in his webdev programming ad as actor. Gonna continue and make a bit bigger games. I'd definitely suit into "indie" category, no interest in big 3d graphics or drawing that much, i would hate to do that. Only using Game Maker Studio commercial licence version so far, the other engines are a bit big, learned about Defold engine, but it is still a little bit big for my needs. I should draw more but I hate to be drawing a lot... luckily my kids draw funny characters and graphics for some of my games...

oh sounds nice, gl at that. Im also been studying programming for the last 6 months. Basically finished full stack course. Right now making portfolio projects and also small games. Nice idea can ask my nephews to draw some random stuff maybe i can use it for sprites too haha. Try godot, it is open source engine for game making, it has GDScript or C++ or C# so basically if you have learned any C languages it will feel quite familiar.

Yeah i only used C++ once in my life when i build my own LAN in old school LAN in high school, Godot would be super epic on tablet computer, i already bought a tablet but only use it for reading Beethoven's piano sonatas.

I understand if a software engineer wants to jump into gamedev team fast, Godot probably provides that. I only have experience with Pygame when it comes to code engines but that kind of sucks when compared to Game Maker Studio Commercial. I started from other end, programming only games first and then learning a little bit Python or C++ for school hacking/phishing other high school students project.

Would be epic to just know C# + Godot but im not building anything that big anyway. Even if i want to make browser games, GMS just converts the end result to Javascript if i want. I dont know Javascript at all so quite comfortable.

Lost -50BB (-$2) to fish in heads-up FLHE 2c/4c on Pokerstars but won the whole 45man 25c NLHE SnG (+$3). So variance has both sides. Moving more to poker career-wise, quite inspired. Regular hard work pays off and makes even happy in the end. Felt like shit but gotta keep up the hard work.

I love my new job, online poker player. I make average at least €0.50/hour, in India it would be about 40 rupees/hour or about 400 rupees/month, giving me an easy living... however, if I was there, I wouldn't play computer games, so much more to do there... but yea they paid me less than that in month when I was dishwasher in Pushkar

Oh nice, I dont think you even need to know C++. Gdscript is very easy so after few days of learning it you can already make games and do whatever you want. Yeah pygames kinda sucks when it comes to making games but for learning python it is a good exercise. Oh ok going to llok into GMS thanks.

Maniac had nothing obv and the other fish who pushed over the top had weak top pair. Argh! But yea got some nice money from these people overall :f_biggrin:

Got accepted to government's free vegan cooking course, this huge course will start in March and will last for 3 months. Girlfriend is working for government and she sent me this info. There's like sooo much pressure around about getting me to a government job so I'm super happy we finally found something that I wish to do.

So you are giving this cooking course? To people who work at the government? (and get paid to do so?)

edit: Congrats on winning $75 in the Raffle! :f_thumbsup::f_cool:

No im learning about what is vegan and how to cook vegan for people. The course is ran by government school which is pretty rare here, all type of private businesses offer that but never the government so far as far as i know, but i haven't been in those circles never anyway so i could be wrong. I will cook for girlfriend as she tries to work for the government ;D she wants more and different cooking
