yes im looking to target that shit (nl2+ playerpool) but it is really unknown and moving really fast

Don't worry u will get used to the fast pace of those nl2 cash game tables. In the end u will learn better Poker there then in those other games

well yes that is correct, 100bb cashgame teaches more, it's that i achieved a goal in the last 6 months that i was looking for, so i dont need to go that high anymore at the moment.

Yes you got that definitely right. six Max cash games will teach u a lot more about Poker than super Micro tournaments. There are just too many allins

I guess one has to always go to places where people don't care about losing money at the poker table, but the location of these places changes all the time.

Porting main game project to new computer (W11+newer GMS) and moving to countryside summerhouse for summer. Bought yearly gamedev education for $49/year, also to prepare and get better at teaching gamedev for kids. Can't wait to experience this adventure, the car is leaving in few hours... There could rise argument for playing NLHE again even in June, especially when the kids are at neighbour's or something... as I'm in better mood. But I cannot know everything in advance...

completely down today, at countryside house, puking from 5am to 9am trying to sleep. then sleeping outside on grass from 9am to 11am in case i need to puke again fast, didnt happen. then sleeping again at like 2pm to 4pm by accident.

did a bit too much work yesterday, mowing with hand grass mowner like really high grass for many m2 for many hours. i think that kinda killed the physical health for sometime later, also wrong food, i have had this once before in Germany in 2013 when on solo bicycle trip in unknown area, ended up making stop at abandoned horses shelter for night cover and puking there (because of eating some unknown german cheese and cycling all day).

will have to get up tomorrow as will be alone with kids for a week. strong times create strong men :D

but yea successfully ported the kids game project from W10 to W11 computer yesterday.

Riding old bicycle, children back in cart, after 500m, flat tire. Still a bit sick from yesterday, we go back to house, children start to really push the shop trip, im like, ok, gimme a break. So I open the tire for repairing, no fault found, i put it back. So ok, we go to the shop, the shop is 8kilometers. After shop we go to basketball court, that's in the village near shop. Soon after we start coming back. I make a stop after like 3km to drink, then i find that both childrens tennis rackets are missing that we bought. So I turn around, ride 2km back, and there they are. Then i ride like 6km, make a stop to drink, one tennis racket is missing again. I ride back 500m, there it is. Then the final 2km home, total like 20+km with kids in cart, still a bit sick from yesterday.

Could play NLHE in morning as woke up in 3am before children. I enjoyed it so much this time, after like 9-days break. I started right with NL2 cashgame, and played for almost 1 hour. Tried to even take some regs HU, I love HU. Lost more than stack though in total, as I played 88 in 6max raise-call pre vs maniac, then called him down on 5699Q for 150bb, getting showed K9 this time. Action is still better than just wavering, there's also like no competition on lower levels ($0.10 to $1 SnGs). Another great thing with NLHE cashgame is, that I can play it any time. Will deffo consider this much fun and action again, especially loving HU. Also watched 6min of coaching vid.

Step by step, also grinded NL2 for ~1 hour while children also around. Played ok I think, with cashgame you can always like quit all 3 tables in 30 seconds if they call you.

A lot of computers, I imagine.
How do you divide your time between developing and playing poker?

i get bored of one and then do the other, for example, online poker gets too risky, i then move back to safe gamedev and selling to locals, or, local gamedev gets boring and shallow, i then move to deep meaningful gaming of online poker

I totally feel you on this! 🔁 I also go through phases where one thing starts feeling too heavy or stale, and shifting gears helps reset my energy and focus.

Right now, my "other thing" is traveling and discovering new places with my partner 🧳❤️ — it's been beautiful and refreshing. But at the same time, I know I need to find something a bit more grounding, where I can develop a new skill or build something meaningful outside of poker.

I think having that creative or personal project helps bring balance and even improves our game in the long run. 🎯 Sometimes stepping away gives us the clarity we didn’t know we needed.

Thanks for sharing your experience — it really resonated with me. 🙌 Wishing you a great flow between both worlds!

Yes the thing with travelling is, you start to miss that apartment with wifi after few years, but my partner is pro-mobility and is not allowing to put wifi in her apartment or real estate. So we both have separate mobile phone internet contracts, which is great for work and mobility (switching locations often). I could like buy or rent my own apartment and put wifi there but she insists on living at her spaces/real estates :D

Hey, that lifestyle sounds super interesting. I can see the appeal of staying mobile, but I gotta ask—why no Wi-Fi in the apartment? 😅 Just asking out of curiosity and good vibes!

Where I’m from, we have a saying: “that’s why the woman handles the household accounting” — meaning, sometimes it’s just easier to let her make the calls 😄

Still, I wonder if at some point you might find a balance, like setting up a more stable base with solid internet and then switching back to the on-the-move rhythm when it feels right.

Also, what kind of games are you working on these days? I'd love to hear more about your dev projects—seems like a cool world to explore.

"why no Wi-Fi in the apartment?"

That is the toughest and biggest question, that would be like changing the whole biggest thing at once. It is a feminine space that is orientated towards something else, running local human relationships, friendships, even sometimes like an orphanage to suffering local people. I have actually physically put wifi there by ordering the cable man, we put the wifi but she removed it in like a week, saying "the radiation is bad". This creates a really interesting dynamic, where the workspace is lightweight, humorous, and she is kinda more responsible of the whole thing. A feminine space where feelings are valued etc... not a silent grinder from distance who talks to no-one and wins huge sums. We have had that conflict, she was like: "serve these neighbours at all cost, take care of their child as well for hours", and I was like: "could these people go away, they are attacking me and I want to work". So I often work when she's physically at work/away from the space, cause when she's here, it is impossible to work as she takes everyone to a car ride to f*ed up place to cheer up suffering people there or something like that.

Here is the overview of the current main solo gamedev project on Youtube.
And explanation about the upcoming physical workshops on Youtube.

Yea would be lovely to have a deep solid grinding atmosphere with motivated sports pictures/training, where I could fully focus on poker training and grinding, outplaying other people on internet in 21+ cashgames gives a certain feeling of satisfaction that is not found from elsewhere. :f_drink:

Some thoughts about philosophy/life theory. The mentality/agenda "play/behave in a certain way" doesnt work starting from certain level (21+ gaming). "Mom tells you to fold the flop" isn't credible force anymore here. So one can't force people to some type of behaviour anymore at those levels.

MASSIVE CASHOUT of 60% roll; reduction of sports as would be too impossible. :f_biggrin:

June up +4,95€, planning to deposit 100€ to poker in 10 days when I get money from government and move up to 0,50€ SnGs. Really proud of myself after playing just one 0,10€ SnG after massive swings in NL2 cashgame. So the plan is to move up to 0,50€ SnGs and maybe shots again to NL2, which is accessible all the time and doesn't require 45min gameplay.

Thank you very much for this very interesting update. Getting money from the government and then move up in limits that sounds like a solid plan.

Yes the other option would be to go to work to get some money to play online poker, but what kind of work? I can't do anything and no-one wants a person who works just for money. Yes there will be gamedev workshops for children in youth center but that starts in September and I don't know how many people will come. :D
