I'll probably head to the store after ARG vs ENG

Rather saddened by the result of the above game, but Argentina owned the second half. Well played.

I did go to the store and got a whack of corn and 5kg of fresh blueberries.

We hit 30C yesterday.
More of the same today, apparently.
It's time to get the fans up from the basement.

We had a thunderstorm last night.
It was quite distant, but still cooled the region down a lot.

I was surprised at how powerless Argentina appeared to be.
I was hoping for Spain to win, but was quite expecting to be disappointed

I only had it on in the background, looks like it wasn't the best game of the tournament.

The match for 3rd place must have been wild, though. :f_eek:

The hottest day of the season so far — which also makes it the hottest day of the year, too I suppose.
33C outside, but only 27 inside.
We don't have air conditioning. We open all the windows when the outside temperature drops below the inside temperature, and in the morning close all the windows. After a long spell of hot weather, though, the inside temp builds up.

It actually hit 34C, and is well on track to exceed that today

And we did — 35C outside, and almost 30 inside.
A little cooler today, but the overnight low was 23C — and inside it didn't drop below 26 even with all the windows open.

Meanwhile, it has been relatively cool here for most of the week. A nice change after the bad heat waves earlier.

We had a chance of a thunderstorm this morning, but so far it has failed to materialize.
