Man.. I shoulda posted here.. I was considering going in to watch some APPT action but couldn't be arsed.. missed an excellent excuse for a beer (or to try Monteiths new cider).

Home game I'm cool with but am unable to host either. Ah well, hopefully someone will come up with some options.

[ ] extremely optimistic. :f_p:

Hey Kiwis ;-)

maybe you can help me to find a place to stay in New Zealand in January. I am from Germany and I study business engineering. I am at the end of my studies now and I have to write my bachelor thesis. I want to combine this task with new experiences. It would be great if I could write this thesis in NZ. NZ is a country I wanted to visit for years now. For me it is better to get out of my familiar environment to concentrate on the things I want to do: Writing the thesis, playing poker (NL50-NL100) and experience NZ. What I need is a place to stay and internet connection. Maybe you can help me?!

Thanks, Thomas

G'day GameAndWatch. :f_biggrin:

January is a great time to look for accomodation in New Zealand as everyone tends to move around this time - given it is our summer holiday period.

These sites should be useful - bare in mind I haven't looked for a flat (apartment/house) in a while:

www.thegumtree.co.nz

www.trademe.co.nz

Hope this helps!

If you're looking for a flat in Auckland, I'll keep an ear out in case I hear of anything.

Good luck! :f_cool:

Thanks alot, Waiboy!

There should be no problem to find something with the given links, but if you have something proper, please let me know! A poker player accomondation would be perfect I think, to get the most of it :-)

gdjonline and my good self are likely making one of our periodic trips to the Casino between Christmas and New Years to donk off a stack or two with AA.

So if there is a chance you're in the 'tron on the 27th or Auckland the 28th give us a yell and you can buy us both a beer and tell us how this NL thing works exactly.

And if I don't see you before, have an OARSOME Christmas yous fullas! GO KIWI!!!_cool:

Aucklander here too, uni student, though not old enough to blow half my bankroll at skycity just yet. Anyone play thursdays at citygolf? Probably not, I've been there once and like 3 people there could play. They had some (annual?) freeroll there, which I was card dead in throughout and still managed to fold my way to $190 for 5th!

Oh god I hope not... I'm a DotA purist, and I hate the little, subtle changes they've made to HoN. I'd so much prefer it if all they did was give it a direct graphics upgrade, and all the reconnection/stats/lobbies etc the client gives.

As for the freeroll, its biannually as far as I can tell. You gain access by winning a 14-18ish man $15 BI SnG, with $10 rebuys/addons. $10 + rebuys go to the prize pool and $5 funds the freeroll at the end. Still ridiculously +++++EV as the players are awful.

Escobario, you're not MrEscobar from BA/MCity/etc are you?
