Hey guys hope variance turns your way soon

Caltabiano does Titan have any kind of valueback ? If so how much is it ? Was thinking of finding a platform with better valueback since stars without supernova isn`t that great and I can`t hope to get SN this year. So I am still thinking between Titan and Pokerheaven .

i'm still very new to poker, and it hasn't exactly been a good start. last few days i've been playing around 4 hours a day for just a few $ profit, grinding the $0,25 45 player SNG. So im still VERY far from actualy earning a decent amount or a living off poker. but im motivated so i hope i can reach atleast $100 at the end of this month.

Not a good week for you guys i see xD i hope it gets better next week. but anyway. the link to your blog in your signature how do you do that? i know how to link an address to a piece of text but when i do it in signature it doesn't work.

Yeah, Titan VIP system is great! You can get close to 50% rakeback there. I figure that I can get the $8k bonus after having paid about $17k of rake in NL100 SH. So it's really great! And of course you can aim for higher bonuses if you don't mind having to play for months before getting one.
Go to their website, they have a Loyalty calculator and you can figure out more or less how much you can get =)

So, quick update for today. I had a another great session and now I'm up for the month again. I'm still 9 stacks below EV though

- Hands played so far: 27517
- Winnings: +$128

Hopefully I can make lots of moniez this week

Oh yeah, I'm probably getting my monitor this week!! _cool: I'm probably gonna get a 23'' instead of 24'' though, because it's like half the price, lol

Alright, cheerz-o!

hello Feliphe !! i've been away for some time but i am back to poka _love:.

gratz that u improved to nl100! probably i will be the only one who will not like ur challenge but imo having money targets will put additional stress and you wont play ur A game. still im sure that with your persistence you will make it. gogogo!

Hey!! Nice to see you're back! Yeah, I think money targets can put additional stress indeed. But we set ourselves a pretty easy target, as long as we put in enough volume.
I'm not really feeling stressed by it or anything. At least not for now =P Maybe in the final days if we don't make it it might get a bit frustrating. BUT it can also be seen as a test, cause we have to accept failure and we have to keep our calm while striving for this goal.

Are you playing NL50 SH? And where are you playing?

Cheers!

im playing nl25 to achieve one personal target but otherwise im regularly on NL50 @ stars. for an additional motivation i started a blog :f_love:

don't stress urself even if you dont make it. i remember how u and ur brother went pro "from scratch" and now ur on NL100 trying to have 5k month. if not now you will make it in the near future!

Argh, down another $430 today... added to my $350 downer of last week it's a loss of 20 BI... On top of that I had been losing before travelling, a good deal. My bankroll's taken a tough blow now, but it still stands, as I was being pretty conservative.

This was the most frustating weekend of my carrer I guess, I put in sick volume, the tables were veeery fishy and still I could only lose. And I'm not at all under EV, I'm probably above EV, which makes it psychologically the worst downswing I've ever had.

I was taking it reasonably well, but today I lost my cool. So I'll skip the proper update tonight and go straight to bed. Peace!

winning is easy. but being a pro in losing is what makes u a real poker pro and what makes the difference imo.

i know ecactly how sick this game can be (it can be cruel :f_biggrin: ). just keep your great mindset, use nitty brm and get stronger and stronger after every down. and ofc, work on your leaks and improve your game all the time.

poker is like trading or investing on the stock market. its a tough job for your mental health. its actually more a mental game than a card came.

however, with the right mindset the advantages like earning more $$$ than average guys and having way more freedom than almost anybody else outweigh the tough times imo.

gl for the next sessions!

and btw, i know it probably doesnt help u now .... but .... bss > sss :f_p:

Just checked their Loyality calculator. Is it really accurate ? According to them I could earn up to 19k by 9 tabling NL50SH 21h/week which seems kinda much to me , also same volume NL100SH up to 36k , again a lot. Is is going more or less according to what they say so far ?

FTW!

Haha, really ture though. Knowing how to lose is what makes the pro! That's why Helmuth is just a fish in reality _evil:

@Bogdan: You did something wrong, for sure. 9 tabling NL50 SH 21h/week will give you 17.1k after 1 year of playing, lol _biggrin: Try it again

9th/November/09. Dandycal: SSS NL200 + BSS NL25

Hello guys,

I'll be writing a proper update today. I ended last week on a -$367, and guess what, this week I got another -$731... added, they become the beautiful figure of "- a shit load of $$$ down the drain". Added to the losses I had before travelling they become.. wait, I don't really want to calculate that. But anyway, I'm nearly 50BI down (NL200 BI, yeah QFT). But everybody has a hard time every now and then.

For the sake of maintaining a decent mind-set to keep on working I'll probably be hitting NL100 tables mostly for a while, till things get a little better.

I had an outburst of anger in the middle of my session tonight, right after I lost 5 stacks almost simultaneously, (one of them being AA AI preF in a 3 way pot for a suck out). I punched the wall - gently though for I still had in mind that breaking my fingers now would not help at all. But as I stopped to think whether I should actually be that distressed or worried about a 50BI downer (meanwhile the tables were beeping insanely and I timed out), I realised the situation is not all that bad and there are many positive things I can think of atm:

1 - My vacations came out almost 50% cheaper than I had planned, so I saved a good deal of money and I won't really need to cash out till at least Jan 2010.
2- I have a good deal of FPPs saved up, and will probably be able to get the 4k bonus by the end of this year.
3 - My BR was 100 BI of NL200, so losing $2k is not the end of the world, even though it sucks quite bad.
4 - NL100 is unbelievably fishy and I'm certain I will have a very easy time if I decide to move down temporarily
5 - I have just come back from 3 weeks vacation so I have great disposition to work/study and get through difficult times like this.
6 - I don't have a wife/girlfriend (variance is enough of a bitch).
7 - I found leaks in my game that might have passed unnoticed if I had been winning < and this is one of the most important points in downswings.
8 - I found this really cool quote as I was searching for some positive inspirations: “Don’t Judge each day by the harvest you reap, but the seeds you sew”.
9 - Whenever someone is complaining of a 30 BI downswing I can call him a wuss
10 - I was able to think of 10 positive things and it made me feel a whole lot better.

So everything is cool. I'll be going for a late night session right now. A great week for all of you, peace!

2 Months, 20'10K'

Overall 1st week was -$972/$10.000

ouch but if you even lost money from non-SD winnings then you probably makes mistakes or am i seeing that wrong?

because so far my non-SD winnings have been above 0. in fact.. my showdown winnigs are negative and im only breaking even because of my Non-sd winnings..

and graph with EV lines are better :P

You are wrong :P
When SD winnings go down like this, it's just sick bad run, and not much you can do about it...
Non-SD winnings usually allso go down when in FR games couse less chance to bluff multiple opps out of the pot.
Don't want to scare you, but you will meet your "reality strike" too, if you will play long enaugh _evil:
