this sunday is 10,000$ freeroll for august depositors ,so i guess thats the reason why regular 1000 $ will not be played .

In the $10k Freeroll news item it states....
"Also, please note that due to the promotion series that we offer you on Titan Poker, we will remove the weekly freerolls. We are working on a better set of promotion which will start in the near future."

Bart, this site will have no community tourneys at all soon.
These help to differentiate the site between a poker community and just a site were many people just post a lot of recurring crap (like this post perhaps?). Lets face it not much new or original gets posted once you've been here a while.
When I joined last year we had:-
Silver FR monthly on Titan,
Bronze FR weekly on Titan,
Battle of the Donkeys on Stars
The International challenge on Titan
Todays $10,000 is a closed shop for those who have deposited before
Competitors to PS keep their sense of community alive by running FR and buy-in tourneys.
Just my 10 cents worth, but i think we need more of these .................

You make some very good points my friend and you know my own personal views of such community events like the BOTD/International series.... they're greeeeeeeeeeeeat with a capital G ♦
Afterall I wouldn't have got to know great people like your good self without them and the community spirit during them is superb.
Don't despair my friend, I understand that similar activities are being worked on behind the scenes, just might take a while to get up and running that's all.

I agree 100 % with andyb43 I miss the more community oriented events. I haven't been around in months but loved the team format.
I'm still not able to sign up for this 10k$ Freeroll, even if I have deposited yesterday via MB. I hope it will works in the afternoon, cuz I'm starting to be little be desperate. Some official reply will be handy :-)

was playing in this tourney, doing well, above average stack but not hitting the hands i play, then got kk, one raiser, i reraised putting opp on less then kk and was raised allin, now if i fold kk then i shouldnt be playing at all so i called and he had qq and drew a set on the river, how sick can it get????
