i said "wow you play good nh"
and its $11+1 turbo
hey less than three.
Thanks for the tip for looking at buyins won, I have looked a few times but did pay too much attention, It is good for moving up limits where it can apear that you are on a downswing when you are not at all if you look at the buyins graph.
Keep up the good work.
The latest challenge is going well, well it started badly went busto on day one but yesterday I managed to turn 250 FTPs into just over my starting stack ♠_cool:
this is what 29BI < EV looks like.

i think im subconsciously playing scared or different on the 12s because of this swing.. but when ever i play a set of 6s i seem to play great.
so im going to try mixing in some 12s with my set of 6s to see if i can play better. ill start by mixing 2x 12s with 10x 6s. then bump it up after a few more run good sets.
looking at my lifetime graph its not my biggest BI downswing but it hurts so much more! i know i can beat this limit comfortably. i just need to combat my own mental weaknesses.
good news! is that with the 100$ EOY bonus from FT + running decent on the 6s. ive still only lost $100 net since i started playing the 12s.
i would really really like to get a sweat going with some fellow players. i think outside opinions on my game would really help right now. pm me if ur interested and we can set up a time
The best tip I can give you which works very well is if you normally play 12 tables drop down to 6. It will seem a bit dull at first but you get a much better idea of how the players are playing.
I have done this in the past and it works great
ok ive had to quit the 12s again.
after 200 games ive lost 43 BIs. running 32BI under EV.
ive tried running them concurrently with the 6s but it doesnt help at all.
im pretty unhappy right now. i know its a part of the game and its really the first time ive had to deal with such losses.
ive reviewed my game, ive watched more videos, ive dropped the tables, ive increased teh tables, ive taken more notes, ive practiced more with ICM trainer. nothing seemed to work this time.
my plan is to go back to the 6s for a while. build up another 20-30 BIs from there.
then i think im going to take a shot at the 10+1 normal speeds. work on my reads and post flop play. then hopefully ill come back to the 11+1 turbos and take another shot in 2 weeks or so.
still keen to get a sweat going with regs at $12+ level. i would love to just sit and watch some of you guys play these limits, see what were doing differently. msg me if ur interested.
Oh crap. 32 bi downer sucks so bad at the new level. I feel you and wish you a quick recovery.
nice blog ... goodluck at the new level
btw: can somebody tell me what poker tool is he using to show him a graph?

Aah, I hope you make it at the 11$s lessthanthreee, you really got a good feeling of the game. I've started them in november too, many regulars (most of them from the 6$s though). Good luck
Don't let that kind of crappy run demotivate you, soon things will turn around ![]()
When I moved up to $16s sng's I ran 45 BI below EV for the first 1k games, I know the feeling ![]()
But the truth is all you can do is to get better and better, because crushing the field real hard is the only way to reduce variance ♠_biggrin:
Wow that really sucks mate, sorry to hear. I'll let you know when I'm free and we can get a sweat session going.

ive been playing good and running decent on the 6s. im back up to my required BIs for the 12s but im still going to practice some changes ive been making to my game and do some more training on ICM for a few days and hopefully have another shot on the 12s again soon ![]()
also might crack gold status soon on ps.com yay! <3 ♠_love:

- 500 hands in the ICM trainer (5 handed)
- 500 hands in the ICM trainer (4 handed)

- continue to try organise sweat sessions
- review the backlog of interesting hands from the 6s
I think i can get this list completed by Sunday which means next week ill be ready to watch that red line rise on the 12s ![]()
wish me luck guys!!!
Hey,
I moved to 12$ on ftp from 6.5$. I have played ~220 with 4% ROI. It does not seem that player are better than at 6.5 level..
The one thing that annoys me that there a lot of players that try to trap limping, or minraising. I am putting lots of notes what those min raises/limping mean if I see them (I play only 4 tables, so thats easier). That helped me (it seems).Anyway 10BI swings are daily for me:/
Good luck at the tables and hope we dont meet :-)
@lastthanthree - I read somewehre that ICM works best in situations where there are between 3 and 5 people involved and the stacks are more than 5 bb big. For heads up and more than 5 people ICM was said to not be the optimal mathematical model though they didn't say which one is.
I can see why it's not best for HU - with a reasonable stack (say 8-13 bb) you want to minraise and outplay people on the flop when you have an edge and not only go all-in with the top 50% hands or so. But I can't see why it's not optimal for more than 5 people.
Just so that you can review your goals. ![]()
I wish you all the luck!
im focusing on 3-6 players mainly. the others are just extra practice basically ![]()
thanks!
