I decided to play an orbit or two on a fishy looking table (FL .1/.2 SH) before ending my session. It turned into one orbit, of which I played two hands -- BB and UTG:
$0.1/$0.2 Fixed-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)
Preflop: Hero is BB with A:h, 8:h.
4 folds, SB raises, Hero calls.
Flop: (4 SB) 5:h, 8:s, 9:h (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.
Turn: (3 BB) A:d (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.
River: (5 BB) K:h (2 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, SB calls.
Final Pot: 9 BB.
Results follow:
SB shows a straight, nine high(6c 7d).
Hero shows a flush, ace high(Ah 8h).
Hero wins with a flush, ace high(Ah 8h).
-------------------------------------------
$0.1/$0.2 Fixed-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)
Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 9:d, 9:s.
Hero calls, 4 folds, BB checks.
Flop: (2.5 SB) J:s, 9:h, T:d (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.
Turn: (2.25 BB) 2:d (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BB 3-Bets, Hero calls.
River: (8.25 BB) 9:c (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BB calls (all in).
Final Pot: 11.4 BB.
Results follow:
BB shows a straight, queen high(Qc 8s).
Hero shows four of a kind, nines(9d 9s).
Hero wins with four of a kind, nines(9d 9s).
... at this point the villain reloaded, and I left the table reflecting that if I didn't need to go to bed maybe I should stick around to apologise .. or better yet, watch him tilt!
Then again, I totally mis-played the turn on the second hand. When I'm tired I seem to not recognise straights. Definitely time for bed, and chalk this one up to variance wanting me to have pleasant dreams.
