I've had a look at the PKR Poker Room website, they have pretty flashy software! Apparently the 3D gives it a lot more realism as there are tells to read and so on. I haven't tried it yet but It would be great if we could get it here on pokerstrategy!

I wonder how the tells work?? Do I set my player up to start sweating everytime I bluff?

they recreate like a casino as in they have a dealer which gives you the cards and you look at them... you can check them once or 5 times even before the flop is dealt, you need to remember your cards as people will see you checking your cards after the flop turn or river.

now this is a tell and you can use it to your advantage too when you know you have the nuts...

I would stay away from the the low stakes sng till the 3$ level as the fee is at 20%, and play is really slow when you've been playing at pokerstars full tilt or any other platform for that matter

you can only multitable to 4 table max

the VIP system is quite good in a way as they have a policy of always up never down so it's worth mentionning, perks are ok, could be better

now big drawback to pkr... is you get dealt the same amount of hands that you would in a real casino or maybe a little more but nothing compared to other platform... but the fish are really tasty and they do have state of the art graphics when it comes to poker

final verdict play there to have fun and make a little money but I wouldn't pursue it as a professionnal player if you're used to multitable

Korn posted on the German board that PKR will be added in the course of the following months. He said that he's like 95% sure about this.

Better hold back on signing up then!

Moonwolf52000, thanks for the review. I think I would play there just for fun/ higher stakes (when I get there). I guess it would be very slow for micro/low stakes poker.

When PRK comes to PS ill definitely signup.

Does anyone know what stakes they offer @ HUNLHE that could be interesting as I usally only play 1 or 2 HU tables at once ..& if they are extra fishy plus the tells factor that could be a really good spot for a hu player .

I'm planning on perhaps depositing $10 for a bit of fun, but probably won't be playing there seriously in an attempt to make money. If your computer can't quite handle the software multi-tabling is right out, which makes it difficult to play a decent amount of hands.

They do offer some freerolls there, but they are pretty lame value wise. Generally you have to bust out thousands of entrants to win your share in a prize pool of $5!

I suppose the whole 'extra tells' thing is kinda cool though. It's an ok place to play if you like the novelty value. Plus you have your own avatar who you can buy clothes and accessories for and configure, as well as a ton of emotes, chip tricks, and moods you can set whilst you are playing. It's poker/RPG in some ways.

Do you know if the clothes and accessories are expensive? I don't really want spend money on a virtual character... which I think is kinda lame...

you're being given some items at first to customize your character and you can purchase the other items with points, which you earn by playing real money tourneys or sng, or you can just buy a bunch of points for like 20$ if you want,

when you make you get to the member level they give you like 5000 points so you can use them for customazing fully your character which I never did but it's fun to know you can

I got a PKR account. Same screen name as others. Did played once or twice the 10c giveaway. Managed to get a $1.20 bankroll then wasted it on a $1 sng.

Didn't saw there was a $0.10+$0.02 one. DARN!

But i like the software very much. Too bad when it gets with PokerStrategy i might not be able to register through it.

But i like the 3D style a lot. It's a lot more fun, but if you think about multi-tabling. Not that cool.
