yes it is. even enough up to 5/10$

stox book is mainly for the higher stakes and I guess many of the advices just don't work on the lower limits. a german member said it is useful from 10/20$ ++

You can definetly reach the "high-limits" just with the content you can find here at PokerStrategy.

But it is like always. the more you read, think discuss about something the better you will learn it.

SSH is by the way a bit too aggressive.

I would say that almost everony can beat 3/6 just by listen to the coachings. You can play by patterns up to that limit.

That means that you don't know exactly why you make a move but you saw someone else already doing it and you recognize the patterns again and you will repeat it.

But for every player there will be a point when passive learning wont help you a lot. Then you will have to get active and start to discuss several lines and stuff like that.

Have you already read "weighing the odds in limit hold'em" ?

But another danger beginners face is that they read a lot of new stuff but they can not convert what they already read.

No i didnt read "weighing the odds in limit hold'em" yet but now u mentioned it im definatly going to read it. Do u think its usefull to read the whole book? Im reading some reviews abouth this book and the only real interesting chapters for me are the Shorthanded ones. Do u agree?

Anyway my quick view on SH atm. Pre-flop changes alot. We have to use the advanced charts witch we can find on the Silver section for all the pre-flop action. Flop, turn and river play stays pretty mutch the same. HU play will be a regular thing so i have to perfect my HU play. And reads are more important here. Thats it?

Ok this may sound strange but actually there is no SH only book on the market which is good.

There are two sources where you can find real good SH content.

That is the new Stoxtrader book and PokerStrategy.

Of course this is a bit strange when i am telling you that, but you won't find better content. We have found out very early that SH games are the most profitable games to play on, compared to FR games. FR games give you a good and solid entry into the world of poker. But SH games are the most profitable ones.

The problem with the new stoxtrader book is that a lot of his lines (most of his book is based around certain lines, a theme i will talk about in my coaching) are for the high limit games. And they are somehow different (more aggressive) then the low or mid limit games.

So you could try to read it BUT be carefull with the things that are mentioned there.

But why i recommended "Weighing the ..." is that there you get a very good insight view about the mathematics behind certain principles like a freecard raise for example.

Best regards,
Stefan
