Why do you bet when he has a boat

I'd bet a little less on each street, but other than that you will obv pay him off everytime.

So you say it is absolutely obvious that he has flopped a boat? Why not two pairs, a smaller flush draw, smaller 10, straight draw or even Ax? It is a weird way to play a flopped set, extremely passive. Sure, he could also have the nut flush draw or A-10. I was betting because of the flopped top pair/g kicker + 2nd nut flush draw. Then on the turn I get top set.

Should I try to control the size of the pot because of the paired board may have forfeited my flush draw?

Dude, I was obv kidding. Just to be clear, there is no way in the world that you would ever consider your hand not to be best without any further information. The fact that it bothers you so much indicates that you have a very serious issue with being very results oriented. I'd bet smaller because it's unlikely that villain has a strong hand so I want max value out of his weak range.
