gameplan for upcoming 2 weeks:

collect as many questions/ideas as possible about my moving to gib/spain and post them here in an unstructured way.

01.08.: send in a structured list of questions to hadi aka TwiceTPersonalMoveItToGibConsultant (vodka is on me @ next party my friend :f_grin: )
14.08.: have all questions answered by him/pokerstrategy/pros who are already living down there

so whenever i think about something where i dunno the max value line i will post it here and after 2 weeks im collecting all posts and structure the stuff in "how-to move to gib/spain guidelines"

if i dont think about some issues, pls post your comments here. i would be very grateful.

and ofc, if u plan on moving down there yourself and have some additional questions, dont hesitate to post them.
however, for this thread gib/spain related only.

taxation:
for poker income in gib is 0% (is that everything i need to know?)
difference between online and live winnings? difference in live winnings from europe/asia/usa?

what is the official notation? "poker pro"? is there a differenciation between live and/or online pros?

is it stated in taxation laws that "earnings from poker are tax free" or is there just no law that covers earnings of poker players??

[@ uni i wrote a 90 pages paper with 2 colleagues about tax havens. i focused on gibraltar and from my research 2 years ago, gib seems to be the place to go for companies. so its good to have some bank accounts there already for my future ventures :f_grin: ]

social insurance:
what do i need to know?
in austria i have an "official job" where i automatically have insurance stuff covered.
is there a mix of public/private insurance for poker players?

if i need a job for insurance, u can give me one @ your office, but im just working 4 hours/week or so that i use for disturbing vali/soy/hadi & co and getting vodka coaching by thomas
do some of the pros have an agreement with ps (like working 4 hours a week or producing 2 videos for being employed officially?)

registration office:

i need to register in gib + have an apartment to get bank accounts
how does the registration office check how many days/weeks/months i'm rly in gib? do they check at all?

cuz my plan is to disturb ps employees and produce vids from time to time @ office and party with you guys @ weekends regularly, but im def. not living on a daily basis in gib. is that a prob? (travelling around the globe + house for baller living style in spain close to gib border)

additional question: are there any rooms in apartments free atm? cuz i dont rly need my own apartment. just one room is enough since i wont be living there 365 days a year.
if so, lemme know!

apart from setting up my financial headquarter in gib & travelling around the globe to get to know some cool areas of our world, i need a home in the south of spain, close to gib.

mansion @ spain:

1) can u recommend some good estate agents?

2) which cities/towns should i chose? santa margarita? sotogrande? estepona? marbella? fuengirola (a bit far away already but still ok)

3) i want: golf course rly rly close (yaya, dont flame me guys! golf rockz! ofc tennis court wouldnt hurt either) [and yeah, i will have some table tennis action going in my party room. sidebets anybody?(actually, i also take sidebets @ golf !]

4) at least small town with some potential of action (take some spanish language courses, play some pool, get some vodka in a club, nice restaurants ...)

5) pool in front of my grinding room

6) kart racing next to my house wouldnt hurt either :f_p: if no cart racing, i need some funky streets to go crazy with my car :f_biggrin:

BUMP

About taxation, is there a capital gains tax? I heard in UK there is this tax between 18-28%. So if we live in Gibraltar and we earn money via stocks/options/etc. what are our costs?

Edit: I did look at some other wiki pages about Gib specifically and they told me this: In Gibraltar there is no capital gains tax, wealth tax, sales tax or value added tax.

So can anyone confirm this?

Any info on how hard it is to get a visa for permanent residency (I'm over in Canada though only reason I'm asking is for maybe some plans in the future)

@ joenaes: let's discuss that in skype next days

@ kpk: afaik, this shouldnt be a big problem as soo many germans are living down there atm.

btw: in case u dont follow my main blog: this blog is dying cuz i found a good solution in austria, consulted by tax experts in vienna. wont move to gib (at least for now). however, deffo going to visit the crazy guys down there soon :f_love:
