well, he always has a pp here (or Jx), and never Ace high. So, you are beating 22, 33, 55, 66 but you are beaten by 99,TT,JJ, QQ, KK, AA and maybe a few hands like AJ, KJ that got stubborn on the flop.

It's pretty hard for you to have a big pp since mostly you 3bet pre I guess. But if you had the hand you're repping you'd probably bet the turn bigger so you can shove the river easily.

So I might be able to fold the river here, after all.

I would go for a fold but I really don't like your check on the river. Your line looks weird+weak only betting half on turn and then checking river and that's why you feel forced to herocall because u realize that u look weak and don't represent much.
=> I think just in a general sense that a 19/15 player isn't going to call ur flop+turn w complete air so that he can bluff you on the river.

Also c/r that flop ur not really repping alot since you would 3bet strong PP pre-flop so I think considering how u played the flop and turn that checking the river is a mistake. I would bet the river smallish again like 20$ trying to maximize my winnings and minimize my losses here.

Pre i usually 3b vs regs but that not that critical.
Mainly i dont like postflop.
As already said by Purity u cant rep much by ch-raising flop (if it was for value i think its too thin cos thinkin player wilnot be calling worse here alot.)

When he calls its almost always PP, 99-AA, maybe some overs but not that likely.
Even if he has overs he has 6 clear outs + many cards will be overcards and it will be hard for us to continue oop.
J is not that scary card for him even if he holds 99-TT
So i just ch-fold turn.

When he called turn he has overpair like almost always. You can still try to bluff him out but i dont see any sense in bluffcatching.

What are you betting for? vbetting is too thin, and betting 20$ to take him off from an OP will not work, it might even hero call himself with 99-TT.

I'd 3bet preflop most of the time, the 87% of the time you don't flop a set you have a very hard time playing postflop.

As played on the flop you face the situation you're always in once you called preflop:
Check/raising sucks because there aren't a lot of worse hands calling your raise.
Check/calling sucks because your hand is face up and you can't continue.
Check/folding seems to not be an option because your hand is too strong - but if you don't c/f on the flop you somehow get to the river, the pot is now big and you're faced with an incredibly tough situation - and you're always the one herocalling, you can never be the one betting for value because your hand is too weak (expect for the times we hit an 8).

So as played it's hard to say something, if you called preflop it probably was due to some specific gameflow/history.
The same goes for the flop, if you know he calls the flop-c/r with Ax and you think he might even call a small turnbet, then obv it's ok to play it this way, but you're still in a tough situation on the river.

As played you can basically flip a coin to decide whether to call or c/f the river - you need to be ahead ~28% of the time to make a call worthwile.
I wouldn't exclude JJ+ from his turnrange, I can definitely see him flatting those instead of raising.

Betting out yourself doesn't really accomplish much, he probably doesn't call again with a worse full house or A high.
