Operating system? And have you tried the obvious right click run as admin option?

Windows 7 And yes i have ofc. Also tried running in different compability-modes and such but same error. Started as i updated to 1.8 the first time (i think, there could be some windows updates and such running the same few days in between usage)

You could have a faulty sector on your HDD try running a chkdsc ... If not then try windows memory diagnosics tool as faulty RAM can cause this issue also as far as I can make out.

Those two are the most common causes... Also, have you run a virus check lately? If not I'd recommend that.

If none of those options work then try re-installing the latest version of Direct X as this can also cause the KERNAL error..

Thanks for the tips guys. I have latest norton AV 2010 version so that shouldnt be a problem, but ill try the rest

The chkdsk went by without any problems. I ran the memory diagnostics and it ran through but as the computer restarted it stopped loading so i had to restart and i got to do the windows startup repair and got the following error message:

I tried googling a bit about it but couldnt find anything related =/
