UTG ($102)
Hero ($132)
CO ($102)
BTN ($140)

Dealt to Hero J♠ J♥

fold, Hero raises to $3.50, fold, BTN calls $3.50, fold, fold

FLOP ($8.50) 5♥ J♦ 9♠

Hero bets $6, BTN calls $6

TURN ($20.50) 5♥ J♦ 9♠ 7♠

Hero bets $18, BTN calls $18

RIVER ($56.50) 5♥ J♦ 9♠ 7♠ Q♣

Hero bets $35, BTN calls $35

villain appears to be on the loose side: 26/17/344 hands, fold vs cbet 18.
I must admit that the more cards I see, the more nervous I get that villain has hit something and is going to raise me, but I guess we just have to plough on in spite of our fears?
On the river, are you betting, and if so how much?
thanks

I like your betsizing for the whole hand except for the flop: that deep I'd bet $7-$7.5, maybe $8 to build a pot as big as possible.

On the turn only T8 got there, so there's still plenty of value in betting.

On the river if you pot it again even a loose player will recognize you're strong, so betting smaller to induce calls is good imo.

If he raised I would've folded because I can't see him turning any 1- or 2-pair hand into a bluff, I don't think he's capable of shoving over the top with a busted FD either.

+1, vnh. I only bet 6.5 or 7 on flop.. btw I decided to review some SH hands before I start playing SH myself
