Hi everyone,

My question would be if I played this hand well? Villain in the SB is a known opponent who is loose and limp 95% of the time preflop from trash hands to monsters.. BTN is just trying to accumulate chips by limping a lot and trying to win it postflop IP..

Any feedback is highly appreciated..

Preflop there is no point to shove. In flop I would usually bet to ~400. Why are you shoving this? Will weaker hands call it?

BTN is just trying to accumulate chips by limping a lot and trying to win it postflop IP..

with given read I think check/raising here might be the best option... that way sb will have to act against BTN raise before us... and we can get value out of a lot of trash from BTN...

but this spot is kinda fun.. Not really sure what to do.. Seems like shoving makes sure we don't get value out of worse :)... and raising to ~400-450 just feels awkward

I think there is only a small chance that I will be called with weaker hands.. that would be Jx w/ mediocre to bad kicker.. and maybe some 2nd pair with gutshot or so.. It all depends on villain's "donkiness" ..

I shoved here because I didn't want to be called.. I am on the bubble and every single chips I can add to my short stack is very helpful.. I felt that if I don't shove here and an overcard will come on the turn or river I might have missed the opportunity to take down the pot while I was ahead..

Still I'm not sure If I played it well, if my thought processes for this particular were optimal or not.. But that's why I'm posting it because I'd like to have some advices on this play..

you have top pair + OESD. I think if someone has a stronger hand on the flop, he might call your all in and then your're done. I would prefer to bet 400 since you have top pair and can still hit nuts...

If someone reraised, I would fold.

You can also check and let the button take a stab and then shove.

Pushin this flop is fine.

It would cost you at least half your stack to bet here and folding after betting would be even worse.

If you get called by better you have lots of outs.

Hi all,

Bet/folding the flop with top pair and OESD is burning money, even on the bubble. I would just bet normal size and get it in, hopefully against T9 or T8.

Check/raising risks giving a freecard to K or A high which is disastrous on the bubble. So I bet like 450 and shove over a raise.
