If he would have ~2.5bb its ok to call any2. But in this case I would end to fold. Though call is not that bad either, especially if other players give free walks to short stack easily.
I think it depends a lot on how the dynamic is. BU has to be on like ATC for the call to be +EV in a vacuum. However, it's never THAT bad so if we're in a losing position concerning bubble dynamic I'm happy to take a slight -EV gamble to end the bubble.
yeah a big factor for me is being 3rd in chips and being to the left of the big stack (3rd = good to call 4th, & we get abused so easily from this position) . if i was in the BB with 6k id probably fold bottom 10% easily.
